respect part 2

more issues concerning respect!

softball ppl're bushuang at one of our sec 2 girls. she commented that "softball very easy one lah, throw throw only."
so dance's also easy lah, jump jump only..
different ccas require different skills. you think it's that easy to throw a softball right and play the game right? by all means, go try. you think infocomm's a slacking cca, just connect wires here and there and that's it? try doing it yourself. i would say it's not easy to grasp dance right too, and i won't say i'm good at it. but even if i'm the pro-est, i don't have the right to go say that softball's easy, cuz i don't know it. and if i'm good at softball, well, then i won't be in dance, will i?
moral: respect all groups, whether or not you like it. you think it's easy, keep it to yourself. don't say it out loud and make other ppl bushuang you, and bushuang your group as a result.

i think i've got another issue, but wait till i've confirmed it, and have hte time to talk bout that. till then.

discipline?

sec 1 dance girls gave me feedback about their audition. wondering how they know me? that doesn't matter.
"when we didn't know some steps and did them wrong, seniors laughed at us." they went on describing the person, and guess what, an exco member's involved. one with a significant role too. "short and don't wear specs." figure it out yourself.

you ask for respect from us when you can't give it to our juniors who haven't even stepped into dance? please.
people make mistakes. they're new to dance, so what's wrong with them not being able to perform certain moves? not everyone of us has a dance background. and do remember, sec 4 girls, we didn't have auditions before entering dance. if we did, i think there'll only be like half of us in dance. and for sure, i won't be there, cuz my grade 2 ballet cert dates back to year 2001. after 8 years of learning ballet, yes.
anyway. as weird as some of the new dancers may position their bodies, we have absolutely no right to mock them. not everyone's born to dance. not everyone knows how to position their bodies wirght in certain steps. that's why we need teachers, to guide us so we can improve. any idea how much the mocking affects them?
alot. i could sense, as the girls were telling me, the agony in their hearts. they went to the auditions with the hope of joining us in the journey of maturing through dance, and all they received were seniors looking down at them, mocking them with an air of supremacy. being older by a few measly years doesnt give you the right to do that. being in the exco, even more, doesnt give you permission to look down on them. does laoshi ever mock us when we do a step wrong?
chen xin and ziang received many repremandations for laughing when somebody dropped props when they weren't even carrying them themselves. you all said that they aren't showing respect, they shouldn't have laughed, but instead help to pick up and carrry the props as well.

with reference to that, shouldn't the said seniors be repremanded too? instead of helping the newcomers by correcting them, they laughed at them. it may have been an involuntary action, you say. but. involuntary actions are controlled by your will, and are carried out because you're you. which means, said seniors, you guys can't respect people. so i don't see why you should receive the respect you want from the rest of the big family. but of course, we will still give it to you. cuz we're us, it's controlled by our will to respect. not like you.

junhe did a touching thing yesterday. like, emotionally touching. didn't expect him to, after the squabble in front of the whole society, ask to shake hands with weicong and end everything on a happy note.

and the 29th person says, after all the high pitched voices of girls, deeply, "twenty nine." lol. jiabin. we were queueing outside the classroom to go for assembly on thurs. ms lim wanted us to stand according to register numbers, which certain girls found too inconvinient cuz some of them are practically stuck onto each other. then she made us recite out register numbers, so it went, from two to twenty seven cuz number one was absent, girl voices. then at the end, jiabin ended it off with a nice deep "twenty nine." oh. twenty eight was absent too, but i think twenty eight would sound like another girl anyway.

stressful week this has been, more to come. three test next week, havent really study. i know iron gives green stuff everytime. english, cavalier attitude. a maths, whatever chapter 10 and 11 is. i shall go study.

nus bf

no people, i haven't got myself a nus high bf. don't ever jump to that conclusion just cuz you see me walking to school with him everyday.

hey. if he were really my bf, i'll either request for him to send me to the school gate or i send him to his and cross the road there. haha. either way, i won't cross in the middle of nowhere and get to the side gate, receiving many weird stares from people. lol.

ans: he's the friend of many of my friends. haha.

tired?

just because i was away for about a week, people thought i died. lol.

week one of school's over, week two just around the corner. geog test supposedly tomorrow, chem test on wed. chinese lit proj due end of the month, but i'm already done. i don't procrastinate.

blogging's another issue altogether. but i really do try to find time to share my stuff with all of you out there. and i'm going to sleep once i finish this.

e-learning on fri while happy people were at orientation camp. gahh. wish i were there, but wells. at least i finished most of my work while at home. wuz like some computer expert telling people how to get fix the internet, how to get to edulearn, how to get the assignments and how to check marks.lol. and not all of you came online. what happened to our class mass convo? haha. i actually planned for 29 people to be in the same comvo. but like only 5 turned up.

but anyway. give myself recess at10.30. cooked tang yuan. lol. even better than all school canteen food put together. was done with my work before lunch. haha. i'm double science, so i've only got two thirds of what the other 7 classes have.

used the rest of the time for homework, and called to reserve my class' 7 sec5 ss activity books. bras basar popular cuz that's the one nearest to my house that still has stock. next will be white sands or pasir ris. and i stay at jurong west, near tuas, thank you very much.

so, went bras basar to collect the books on sat. saw emily from inside the train! got the books, and after the cashier scanned the books, she asked, "all the same arh?" and i went, "yah, correct."

when i went to bishan popular last week to ask if they had the books, the lady sorta stunned for a split second before confirming if it was sec 5 i wanted. lol. yes i know i don't have that sec5 face, don't look at me like that. if you were wondering, my teacher wants those books, cuz she says it has more exercises than our 4a and 4b put together. and don't look at me with those eyes. i'm a special stream student. not normal, though i actually envy them for the lighter load of work they have. and i don't discriminate. i'm a nice person, in and out.

went bugis after bras basar. got a top. white, cuz brown's too dark and they don't have cream like i wanted. murtabak for dinner. and i was telling my mum, how many chinese families do you see eat out like us? we had roti prata, tahu goreng, murtabak, teh tarik and claypot rice. i think the average chinese family will opt for chicken rice instead. lol.

ohoh. there was this woman, rather mentally unstable, who went table to table when i was having lunch at bras basar, saying, "don't hit people when commiting suiside." in mandarin. my mum met her at the atm too. haha.

went home at ard 10. slept till 8+ today. nobody was awake, so i went back to sleep. ad woke up more tired. additional sleep always does this to me.

i think i wasted lots of my time today, till emily reminded me of geog test. but anyway, i don't think it's tomorrow. though it's a one period lesson, he hasnt finished going through the question he gave.

neighbours have began moving in! after 5+ years of insolence. is that a proper word? i dunno, but well. used to the serenity in my neighbourhood, then late last year we began hearing drilling and the chatter of contractors. then the house got dusty so much that my mum had to mop the floor sometimes twice a day. and today, we found cigarette ash in the balcony. and cigarette smoke could be smelt from inside my house. wth. smoking should be totally prohibited indoors. i don't care if it's not your house, if the smoker was a contractor. you're interrupting my life. i don't want to get lung cancer just because of your selfish act. lol.

shall kennen lernen new neighbours after they move in! the unit opp. my house, saw the inhibitants once. a young couple. bro peeped into the ajar door of their partially renovated house and they smiled back. i think they're going to be nice people. but their contractor made a huge mess outside their house. ugly paint stains on the floor, and they're not showing any intention to clean it off. anf worse, they throw their cigarette butts and bits of concrete into our pots of flowers outside. the other day i saw a piece of vege. wth.

was glad with dance prac on wednesday, got most of my syf steps back. and how my other arm doesnt seem right. damn. the school barred us from hall, was raining couldnt use parade square, studio blardie small, so ended up using the atrium in the new sky garden. it's like a mini parade square, down to the paint colour of the floor. and it's identically slippery. sky garden isn't much a practical idea, they tried to combine too many ideas together, and it turned out to be a badly made rojak. the very very initial artist's impression was nice. not many people saw it, i got a sneak peek cuz i'm special. but well, i don't think i'll use it much anyway, last year at nh.

tomorrow. ahh. got stuff planned out but plans don't always go as you wish ehh? shall see.

till i come back, do miss me.(:

i've got fans, do you?

well. due to popular demand, i'm back blogging.

jasmine dropped my nano yesterday. argh. the last time i dropped it was the first time i brought it out, which was like, 27th september 2005. argh. one year plus ago cann.

cca extravaganza yesterday. first round the floor was slippery cuz it rained and the guys didn't have enough sense to wipe that part dry. they wiped the sides instead, where we DID NOT stand for our item. lol. so yea. falls and all, but not as bad as open house. 2nd round not much people but we did improve. cuz the floor dry can run faster can dance better mah. imagine standing on a wet patch and dancing while your mind's imagining you falling.
sec 1 classes took turns to go studio watch video (oh man that rhymes). and they were only given like, 5 mins? stupid planner lah. 5 mins do what? give out magazines like npcc did arh. well. met some interesting sec ones. not hoping all gets into nhds.
took balloon from cds. people must be thinking: this nan hua dance girl's abit siao. yea. but threw it away before i went home.

got comments bout the dance intro they gave!
first. why the mixture of english and mandarin? like, yes it's what we always speak like, but it doesnt give a good impression. imagine a valedictorian giving his speech in mixed languages. and they didn't sound prepared. i think one of them prepared topics, but still it wasn't very well done. then. what's with the "i know some of you may think that guys go into dance will become sissy."? not everybody thinks like that, but by saying that, you are like asking people to think that way. so the explanation after that, talking bout the things guys do at nhds and how macho or how shuai our guys are, it doesnt really help. i think it makes the speaker sound real sissy.

the initial busking idea:
i don't know lah. we were all so enthu bout it on friday, then people started going off after the last performance. down the drain went all of zhongyi's efforts, all of ours too.didn't what he say get embedded into your brains? busking was supposed to have us leave an even more lasting impression on the people, if the dance didn't do well. even though daryl did say our dance was well done, the busking could have made everything much better. how often do you see people dancing at weird corners of the school?

and cheri said: "steph you're weird leh. sec 1 so attitude then now like complete change." something like that. forgot exact words. haha. well, you prefer the sec 1 me?

've got 9 weeks of chem pop quizzes lined up in a perfect straight line. so i guess the idea is to make us study throughout weekends so we won't even have time to blog. haha. but i did study k.

loving four eleven more and more. even though they took away our ms sathi. but they gave us thomas. haha. i don't know if that's good or bad.(:

chairman!

ohwell. sec 4.

teachers teach like nobody's business and sets high expectations for us, thinking that we can achieve them with their guidance. i'm not saying i don't trust them, but given our average standards last year, it's going to be a giant leap. like, all the cs to as. blah. i don't like that.

and our class whiteboard's damaged. by us. cuz we used ethanol to clean the whiteboard last year to remove all the names we wrote in permanent marker, being all considerate for the next class using the room. it turned out to be us again. we thought clean was good, but the ethanol sorta digested the protective layer which makes ink flow easily and everything to be cleaned of nicely.

so we have a dirty whiteboard that can't be written on properly. how beautiful.

but that's not spoiling my last year at nan hua. i'm going to make it perfect. though i can't go orientation camp)):

and because its the O LEVELS year, i shan't be blogging that much. mayb, monthly? we shall see (:
