stadium pics

photo blog updated! for those who cant find the link, it's at the profiles page. haha.

dance practices for syf starting next week! for two continuous weeks, 8am to 6pm or smthn, so i think i wont be online too often. but do look out for me yea? haha.

it's the next syf already, as if it was yesterday we left classes during recess, reported to hall, had final runs, changed into costumes and made up, then left for kallang where we performed the gold-with-hounours dance and got the results on sports day.
but will nhds clinch at least one gwh this time? or will we end up with just golds, silvers, bronze or even cops? it's all up to us, they say.
i think, we need every single member to realise that they each play an important role in the Society, thus giving their all in every single practice. of course, that doesnt mean going all the way till people sustain injuries. keep injury rates as low as possiblek? take loads of care.
and exco. they may be just 11 people who seem useless on the outside. despite suan-ing them in one of my previous posts, i have enough confidence in them that they will lead us to greater heights. so, junyang, cheeyew, grace, jun he, xinyu, shana, cheri, jeslyn, meiting, wenjie, chuhan, make sure you guys (and girls) do a good job. dont take it as just because you're holding a minor role of publicity, cosmetics, costumes, welfare or props and think you're just in charge of what your post requires. please. you 11 are supposed to work together and lead the dance society. it's not right for a few people to do most of the jobs, while some are seen mia. you know very well yourselves who those people who havent been doing their jobs are. it's only when we can see the 11 of you united that we, the other 100+ members can work together.
it's not just up to us. it's up to you guys as well.

maybe one last note to exco: please, dont abuse your authority. use it well and use it right.

open house, lousy exco.

ytd's open house really made me see the real image of exco. failures.

note: not that i think i can do a good job being one of them, but they were really disappointing. do not read on if you think you can no longer digest insults i hurl. really bad for your digestive system, believe me.

we were invited to do the dance a first time, with our secretary and ass. costumes head watching. and many more exco ppl were missing cuz they were doing dunno what.
i dont know why they have the right to stand there and watch us dance and give critical analysis. it''s not like they're really fantastic.
but well.
then secretary asked if we were just marking or doing full out.
hello. studio's small. of cuz mark lah.
so everyone (nearly) whispered mark.
then secretary said she wanted to see full out. so i said "studio not big enough, full out may hit people."
then she said "nvm, as zhongyi always said, make space out of no space."
me: "but if there's obvious lack of space there's no way you can ever make space yar?"
and both of them decided to ignore. and proceed with the full out idea they wanted.

secretary's words are dumb. making space out of no space is when there actually can still be space made, e.g. removing stuff in the way. but, look at the studio, my dear secretary. the back portion was made into cupboards, decreasing the area of the studio by at least 5 sq. metres. then we've still got props and lions and the numerous (14) cartons of water. and biscuits and ndp costumes too. and we had bags leaning on the cupboards and lining the space along the mirrors. thus, ultimately, anybody with a 15 year old developed brain can see that there is not enough space for what, 70+ girls with arm radius around them? please lah. be clever.

then they decided that i may make sense and separated us into levels. wow. im surprised yea?

before first performance, like, rather way before and we were gathering at amphi theater with absolutely nothing to do, i needed the washroom. so, with the least respect i could have for the exco, i informed the disc. head "i go toilet."
apparently she comprehended that as a question asking for permission. and screamed "ehh! i never say you can go leh!!"
i went " it'll be no use even if you said i can't go, what!"

please lah. you mean if a person really needs to ease himself, even seconds before a performance, you wont allow him to go, so you'd rather he wet his pants during the performance? furthermore, it wasnt like we were occupied or the performance was seconds away. andand. what i said was supposed to be a piece of information, not a question. sorry if my clever ways made you feel stupid because you weren't able to comprehend.

and after i went back, we waited more before we actually performed. lol.

the day went on with much yelling from our discipline head. nothing much bout the flaws of exco, dont think i would want them to feel more stupid anyway. so i didnt really bother.

after 3rd performance or smthn, somewhere after lunch.
ass. costumes head demanded that everybody go back to studio.
extra packets of rice, 2 cartons of water, extra belts and 1st aid box were in the amphi theater.
me: "who's taking the things there?"
she: "i take lah!"

yea right. ass. head of costumes, was it even input into your brain what the stuff were in the amphi theater? did you think it was possible for you to carry the above mentioned things when all you had were four limbs? you could argue that you could use your teeth as well. fine then, i woulf love to see you lugging the things back to the studio on the forth storey. maybe i could allow you usage of the lift, that is, if you can get the stuff to even the lift lobby YOURSELF.

nevertheless, being nice and all, i decided to help get the stuff up, starting with first aid box, which i had moved into shade because the vials of antidotes for results of torture were being scorched under the menacing afternoon sun.
then welfare head decided to reverse his footsteps and go to the amphi theater and get teh box from me to take it up himself. so i settled with the extra belts and half-filled bottles of water, while sec 1 guys helped with the cartons of water and extra rice packets.
ass. head of costumes of, oh, ass. head of costumes, 您在哪儿? if you saw funni symbols, replace them with "where are you?"

that should be all for the flaws of exco, presented openly on the world wide web. haha.

later that day, or somewhere there, mrs wong came in, saying that a teacher feedback-ed that very little people were purchasing cultural potpurri tickets when dance isnt performing this year. which i think many people already predicted.
year after year, the highlight of cultural pot. has always been dance items. even though it seems as if the guys always put up the same gym sequence, but it still never fails to leave people impressed. so yea. and i heard, during solicitting of ticket sales by the members of the performing groups this year, replies going "dance not performing this year, go for what?"
okay. so mrs wong wuz supposed to persuade us into buying the tickets. or picking up trash, since others apparently dont want them.
i wouldnt say she really succeeded. less than 20 out of the near 100 people purchased tickets. and a senior was spotted mouthing "dont buy lah!" haha.

an advertisement here: the nan hua annual cultural potpurri will be held on 29 november 2006, at victoria theater at 7pm. tickets are priced at $8 and $10. feel free to locate mr cheng in the school for the tickets.

fraser

fraser(the bird, my bro named it) finally has proper food. mum bought bird feed 2dae. haha. took more photos of him/her (nobody can tell, and "it"doesnt sound nice) but i still think he should be released asap. yea. when he can properly fly, that is. let's just make it a he now yea? haha. he keeps flying and dropping down after vigourous flapping of wings for like, 20cm? haha.

2moro's open house. received a stupid relay message saying "try not to bring your own bottle." so i'll bring my mum/dad/bro's? lol. what they actually meant was that there was no need to bring water cuz we've got an abundance of mineral water from various events stored in the studio. and we're supposed to down it by 2moro, or latest 15 dec.

so, yea. another year has passed, and next year tere'll be a whole new batch of sec 1s joining us. and i'll be a sec 4. wow. suddenly the number 4 seems like infinity. i didnt feel the same bout the number 6 before i took psle. argh.

is it really necessary to put stress on oneself to be able to perform well? dunno. i dont remember studying for psle. i just thought i knew everything. and while everyone tried to cram their puny 12 year old brains with last minute information before papers, i brought comics and storybooks. haha. so i landed in nan hua. if i didnt, maybe i'll be in rgs or smthn. or maybe i'll slip down to some bottomline school. shant name any in case somebody sues me.
anyway.
i guess i'm happy in nh. like, interesting class, nice principals, friendly teachers (though not necessarily top-notch). butbut. not a really nice cca yea? haha. maybe i'm the one who's not nice. maybe i can make it nice. i shall try. attempt. experiment and treat everyone like guinea pigs. rubs hands together and gives a sinister smile. hehh.

jiayou all nanhuarians 2moro for open house! remember, it's not just any other exhibition, we're supposed to IMPRESS!!! we're AMBASSADORS of nan hua high and just for one day, we'll be WALKING ADVERTISEMENTS!!!

ahha. i think i'm going bonkers. mrs wong warned us to behave ourselves and not tie our hair right under the noses of visitors in the canteen. yea. and the very typical miss yeo will drill into our minds that we must be civilised. yea.

so go ahead people, be civilised and impress.(:

birdie came!

this bird flew into my hse before i left for dance 2dae! haha. yea and it's still in my house. temporary pet cuz it apprently doesnt know how to fly. yet.
told mum it wuznt too safe, bird flu. but we can't possibly leave it to die or get eaten by one of the crazy cats downstairs yea?
its food: mash fish food pellets. cuz that's the nearest thing to bird food we already have at home. mum gave it green beans originally, but wuz rejected. haha. and it screams like a baby. haha. not scream lah. but what do you call a bird's sound? chirp? dunno. but you get it yar.

change

suddenly something sparked off somewhere in the day.

jk left us with great memories yea? anyone really has bad memories bout him?

i dont.
he brought us laughter, entertained us with his funny perspectives of stuff, shares earphones with people from his ipod and ate chips with us. and more and more and more. it's not fair to reduce his days with us to just a few sentences.

the other time he read this extract from a chinese mag in those seductive kinda voice? who wuz there, rmb? we were laughing like mad lah. and none of us thought that would be the last time yea?

then there was the dental checkup. jk, jiabin, me, jeslyn. we were like ponning lesson cuz dental wuz during recess. then listening to his ipod and my nano and chatting. he had a whole set of new stationery i dont think he realli used. then the nurse came out of hte bus thingy and sorta shooed us back to class. i dont think we went up, did we? haha.

then the other time mdm chong confiscated his hp. jiabin wuz like standing up for him and all. then i went to get the phone back from her. she didnt realise he wuznt feeling very well yea? sometimes teachers need to know more but their students.

then glen and glenda with clarissa and emily. he wuz so all-smiley then. we never knew. maybe we did, but didnt want to admit. it didnt look like pure happiness for me. he wuz hiding something, which i never got to find out what. i didn't want to, i dont like bringing sadness out of people. just thought that maybe he'll be fine after some time, and we'll just be a class with 30 people.

never did i know. time wuznt given the chance to heal stuff.
but.
he did leave us with great memories yea?

i want to be like him. no, not the life-ending part. the leaving of memories part.

i want to depart from this world with people saying, "she left us with great memories."
i think im through with this life making people dislike me. i shall start it all over yea?

people, give me a chance and we'll start all over. say yes and say hello to the new steph.(:

thankyou, and sorry for whatever i've done in the past.

dunno.

i don't like holidays. especially in secondary school. two months for me to slack and grow fat. argh. like, it wuz only one month in pri sch. i'd rather have an additional month of school. or even no year end holidays. or maybe a week will be enough, like march or september. i dont like june hol;idays too.

okay. that was weird. yes, somebody here actually doesnt appreciate holidays.

went to school today. had an appointment for lesson with mrs tan cuz i missed her lesson on the 13th, where i went for the school carnival. yepyep. so she told me today between 0930 to 1230. reached school at 0920.went staffroom called her using the extension. no answer. then went music room. saw elaine so asked her to ask mrs tan to come out if she wuz in music room. saed she wuznt in. figured out maybe i wuz too early so waited till 10 and went staffroom call again. no answer. then i stayed in canteen flip amaths, read prev lessons notes then tried making sense out of binomial.
went up again at 11. called and finally somebody answered. saed mrs tan ISN'T IN SCHOOL. good. so i went home.

slept right after lunch. dumb i'm making myself fat. didnt wake up till it wuz time for dinner. read book, watched tv, talked to annabel on the phone, poor girl she's sick. then i'm here.

i shall make tomorrow more eventful. crosses fingers.(:

update!

first. foreword.
i am sooo wrong with my tag in reply to sk. there actually IS alot to update bout, and i've missed out alot in the four/five/six days i haven't been online. sorry people.

second. here's where the post is.
got my sec 4 books, only that since it's the last year (they say this every year) our supposed maths textbooks are to be used, we've got to order them. so i only got my cl and exercise books that day. that auntie gave me a big orange plastic bag for the books, but i unpacked them and repacked them into my monkey bag and returned the plastic bag to the auntie. wait. that sentence sounds weird, like, grammatically. but nevermind. you get my drift. yea. save the earth!
the other time i went to this eco-discovery trail thingy, they gave us a bio-degradable plastic bag that's supposed to be able to decompose in 6-24 months. so it's now at home and we're waiting to see what happens. lol.

volunteered 2 days of my holidays to backstage work at the school carnival. it wuz actually three days, but the person decided that we were not good enough to help on the last and most important day. so yea. she told us that we weren't needed on the third day.
1st day wuz stupid lah. that pic (person in-charge) asked us to call people for them to report at the stage, but then they were told by another person to report at a later time, so some students were still stuck in lecture halls when we phoned them. so the pic wuz super pissed and we sorta wasted the whole day cuz she took over everything.
2nd day these weird people turned up and acted like backstage workers(too). dont know them, wuznt any get to know session so they did theirs and we did ours. sorta more meaningful to volunteer my day like that, i guess. lunch wuz provided (unlike the previous day) and wuz rather nice too. went for coffee bean with douglas. belgian choc ice blended. when i wuz finished with mine he wuznt even one-third through his white choc dream. lol. yan ru or somebody says that shows our different perspective of money. lol. cuz that thing cost 5.70? dunno. it's coffee bean what.

skip skip skip to somewhere yesterday cuz i cant really rmb what meaningful stuff i've done. not like yesterday wuz a real meaningful day, but yea. at least there's stuff i can talk about.
went toa payoh, saw this pair of ballet flats im getting soon. haa.
then went chinatown. got a skirt. mum says it's for chinese new year. no opinion. i wont have any other functions during the holidays that i can wear it anyway, cuz it's sorta formal.
today. woke up at dunno, 7+ despite sleeping early morning? haa.went market with mum and dad. asked for permission first cuz i dont wanna be lightbulb. mum seemed sorta reluctant but didnt say no. haha.

oh.
friday went to glory pres after dance. like, showered in school first. reached there before 5.27 (meeting time) so went westmall walk walk. then saw ade and jas when i wuz going out, so walked with them. got ice mocha cuz jas chose it. haa. then we left with chiuping. wuz late, movie nite wuz supposed to be at 6. nvm they havent started anyway.
mercy streets. surprising stuff wuz at the end, when two twin brothers who actually didnt look so alike in the movie turned out to be the same actor. haha.
wuz supposed to go for dinner with them but i ended up watching them eat. was hungry, had the money, felt like eating but just didnt want to. doesnt make sense. but well. had bread at home in the end. at 11+. guess i wuz out of my mind.

someone left, but will be back. so now i've got more time for more people, so make good use of these 10 days and ask me out yea? not that i'll definitely agree, but it's worth a try? haha.

dl-ed ie7

downloaded internet explorer 7! well i don't know if it's the latest, cuz i din bother to check for ie8.
finished nearly a third of emaths homework, havent started on a maths. shall do it later i guess.

hols=crowded libraries?
dunno. wuz wondering, cuz i like, read more than 16 library books since beginning of holidays. yes, it's 9 november. haa. i wuz rather surprised myself.

ytd's dance wuz stupid. like, "the sec 4s are having their english papers, which are very important, so we must not make noise." then, what for have dance practice? whispers make sound, or noise since they're not music. the countless "shhhhhs" too. dance cannot clap. jihe can run. hello. barefeet running on parquet floor dont make noise?
oh yar. of course they do. that's why we received numerous complaints.
my mum asks me to go ask mr foo to ban ccas during o level periods. not only that, in my opinion, all other students not taking o levels should not be allowed entry into the school compounds too. feasible?
it may sound selfish to certain people out there, but are you sure you will be able to take your very important o levels in a noisy school compound?

not me.

busy holidays

this yr end hol's quite a hectic one for me. like, i went back to school every single day last week. almost.
mon was cl o lvls and amaths rem. tues went out with people. wed was eco-discovery trail at suntec. rather boring and we met a senior, steven, there. was a councillor and asked if lim lyesim wuz still with us. then talked loads to mrs tan bout the school and mrs tan sounded like she was promoting nh to a parent of a primary 6 student who jus got his/her results and are at our open house, which is, of course, not until 25 november.
back to topic. thurs and fri wuz stock challenge at ngee ann, and we had to report to school at 8. skipped dance on fri. stocks were much more interesting than dumb bunches of people who don't give a damn about me, anyway.

so. stock challenge.
speakers/instructors were teachers from canada. event sponsored by citigroup, managed by learning society.
1st day was mostly theory, rather boring. then we were told the next day we were to be in costumes representing our brokerage, which wuz simply a group of three. me, jiawen and qimin formed a group we called shorties inc., because none of us had height exceeding 155cm. i myself, im rather proud to say, is 150 cm.
so me and jiawen went je to get stuff we need for the next day. costume was set to be grey/black jackets and long pants, because of the low temp of the air con. jiawen made the brokerage sign which had our brokerage name and slogan ("we make your short profits tall") and the main part of our business card, which held out names, office address, contact numer, brokerage name and slogan. i did the aluminium foil stuff. cut out rectangles of alumnium foil for the business card to be stuck on for a border, name tags which held our names, office address, hp numbers, brokerage sname and slogan ("i make you short profits tall" this time) and logo necklaces. our logo wuz a stick figure, so the circle from the head wuz the chain thingy of the necklaces. so, we wore our logo.
day two, we spent time in the toilet while qimin did her hair then mine. cuz we let out hair down and it wuz weird if i let my hair down and did nothing to it, since it isnt layered and looks superly flat. a little hair gel and spray did the trick. then we went back to our office, which wuz just a table and three chairs. stuck our sign, wore our logos. then the thing started.
read newspaper, highlight impt points and note down which stocks will go up and which down. then, decide to buy, sell or hold. yea. that's the basic lah. may sound boring but it's actually rather fun. not going into details or else you guys will drop off into deep slumbers.

following days of hols will still be rather packed. lessons in nov. dance prac on 8 nov and a continuous twoweeks in dec. then i've got backstage duty in expo on 13-15 nov. i volunteered for it, just like i had for the eco discovery trail. so, if you feel like finding me or will be free on the abovementioned dates, head down to expo hall something. dunno which hall but you can contact me on the days from 8am - 5pm. yep. you can even volunteer to go home on the mrt with me after that. cuz nh kindly only provided transport to expo and so i'll have to take the train from the most eastern to the most western end of the mrt line. i'll be looking forward. lol.
