life's fragile.

my p4-p6 cl tcher passed away this morning. while i wuz happily receiving birthday wishes frm ppl in sch. life's so fragile, isnt it? she wuz diagnosed wif sum funni kind of pneumonia a few years bac, during the sars period, n has nvr been well since. she was my bro's cl tcher, as in till 2dae, n due to her illness, she kept missing lessons. she died in the hospital, i guess, after being admitted there a few weeks ago.

this is the 2nd death of a person i knew this year, 1st jk then her. on my bdae sumore. n she told my mum, during national day celebrations, tt she still kept the tchers' day card i made her when i wuz p6. n she saed i wuz clever.

well, i guess now, all i can do is to live up to the reputation she has given me, n study hard so as to not make her death meaningless.

ok, on a happy note, i received 35 birthday wishes, excluding the one i gave myself on 0520hrs. when i woke up. lol.

now, im officially 15, old enough to take the death of an important person in my stride, respecting and accepting God's decision.

the Lord's ways and plans aren't ours, though we may not be able to see or comprehend, we have to bear in mind His ever goodness and faithfulness.

recycling day

well, since it seems like everyone else who went for recycling day's blogging bout it, i shall too!!

reached the promenade at 7.20, went to the booths (nh had 3) n found tt many (most of the) paintings had dropped. in the green effort, sum1 decided to use minimal amounts of masking tape, resulting in the fall of paintings. lol. so i found a roll of masking tape n used more to paste them back on.
den foo laoshi came. den darren (aka mr tay) n mrs tan came. den the rest of 311 came. (the other 11) then 3 sec 2 gals came. they asked if i wuz yayi. lol. apparently our green chairman was absent.

darren n me went to the kindergarten behind the event place to get water for the fishing game. i suggested going to the police post a distance away initially, because i didnt know the kindergarten was open. yep so the 2 of us went dere, they lent us two pails which we filled up with sprays. darren's spray's hose was leaking at the tap, then water wuz like pen4-ing everywhere. farni. so we filled a pail each n since mine wuz smaller, i finished filling it up 1st so i went out 1st. jessie wanted to help, but there wuz nthn she cud do, so yar. she stayed there while i went bac to fill a 2nd pail. darren oreadi left, but i din c him on the way bac. funni. then after filling the 2nd pail, i went to the booth then darren sae actually dunnid liao. gahh. but they used it anw, the fishing pail thingy wuznt even half-full in the end.

must conserve water mahh!

we split up into groups to mend the 3 booths, then in the end i wuz the onli 311er left for the third booth, so they gave me the 3 sec 2s. amber n ruth n peifang did the puzzle thingy, honglin, yanbing, qingyun, yanglu, jessie did the fishing thing, which me n darren got water for. then the sec 2s n i did the aiming thing.

rules of the game: there are 3 recyclable items and 4 non-recyclable items given. recyclable ones are aluminum can, drink packet n drink bottle. non-recyclable ones are 2 bao3 xian1 zhi3 balls, whatever u call them in english, they're the plastic wrappers thingy used to wrap food, 1 cellophane paper ball n 1 styrofoam block. the player's supposed to stand behind a chair n aim the recyclable items into the recycling bin, and the rest into the rubbish bin. differen prizes are awarded according to the number of correct aims.

i think i repeated the rules in english and chinese at least a hundred times. oh, n a smile and thank you while presenting the prizes to the ppl.

usual stuff when there r gifts, people keep coming n some bargain for more gifts than they deserve. singapore mah, c until dun want to c liao, dun wanna talk bout it too. i guess everyone can imagine anw.

but it isnt that bad. just treat them like anyone else. repeat the rules if they want me too, give them the smile n thank you when giving them the prizes. what do i have to lose anw? just make sure they get the prizes fair n square.

don't think it's just our sg aunties. prc families n indian families too. ranging from age 2-80, i tell u.
there wuz this grandma whom i realli admire. her aim wuz to get a water bottle, for her grandchild. just with tt thought in mind, she lined up n played around 10 times. she failed every single time, getting only a maximum of 5 aims each time. to get a bottle, she'll need 6 correct aims. so i like, let her cheat abit at the end. after the 7 throws she onli got 5 in, so i gave her another 2 items to throw in. she got one in, so i gave her the bottle. she wuz realli happi.

it's nt tt hard to bring happiness to a person, you know. i don't have any grandparents left, n the grandma who wuz the closest to me left when i wuz 2 or 3 yrs old. nthn can beat a grandma's love for her grandchildren. Sometime's it's even better than a mum's love, tho we say a mum's love is the greatest of all.

then there wuz this lady wuz wuz looking at the photos we put up, displaying the green events nh has participated in in the past. so i went up to her n asked if she needed help, cuz no1 ever even gave those photos a damn, while she wuz making notes. she saed she's frm sum hospice centre, n wuz wondering if nh cud collaborate wif her to educate elderly on being environmentally friendly, esp when many elderly have large piles of flammable stuff stacked in their hse. then i asked if she wanted to talk to a tcher. she saed fine. mr chia wuznt ard at tt time, so mrs tan told mi to get her namecard. so i did. den i spent more time explaining the photos to her. when i knew absolutle nthn. but photos sae a thousand words, so i ended up telling her bout the events rather ok-ly.

then mrs lim came, put her hand round my shoulder, n asked 4 my name n class. stunned. so i answered "stephanie, 311." i wuz sorta expectling sum warning or stuff, but in the end she saed im doing my job well n asked me to keep it up. lol.

i continued with more rules repeating, prize giving n thank you saying. If i din stop to go round playing games i think i wud have lost my voice.

people, the correction fluid canisters arent recyclable cuz the fluid's toxic n stuck to the plastic, so stop using them as they ll deplete our environment. use correction tape!!!
used tissue paper cannot be recycled too, so dun try to be a good soul n throw them into recycling bins.
also, the polystyrene wrappers we use for food arent recyclable too, cuz sg's tech level ain't that high yet. but plastic bottles are fine. continue recycling them yar?

had sum seafood baked rice for lunch. lucky they use mozerella cheese. i carn take cheddar.which means i can onli eat the normal pizza at pizza hut, carn take the new cheesy bites thingy. havent tried it anw. ok. back to the lunch. had mussels, prawns, n fish. quite okay lar. but i think it wuz realli bad for amber, cuz she threw up smthn, rite in front of the ppl at her booth. i wuz like, "no amber, nt in front of them..." while pushing her behind me n continue smiling at the ppl in front.

come on ppl, mus uphold nan hua's image k?

left at 1, peifang, amber n ruth were forced to stay on till 2 cuz the rest went back n they needed at least 3 to stay. the 2nd batch of ppl, hu were suppsed to be there frm 12-4, never arrived. irresponsible ppl.

wanted to get more of the pens but onli managed to get 2. shall ask them if they koped. n kope frm them. lol.

oh yar, saw mdm long in the beginning. took photo with her son n her. wuz nice to c her again, tho we just met like b4 tchers' day? haas.

i don't know why, but i jus enjoy doing this kinda green stuff. like, there wuz this green thingy when i wuz p6, n despite the psle, i volunteered to go, n ended up being the onli em1 person there together with the em3 ppl. lol. im nt discriminating them lar, but, realli. then i volunteered for the hike thingy on 1st nov. jk's bdae. it's with the green reps of the sch. lol. n im a geog rep.

cuz im not cheering. seriously, holidays are evil. mrs tan told us the meaning of hols is "lessons outside normal curriculum time". wth?

i'd rather have no holidays, then.

tomorrow's wednesday, which supposedly means i should have done half my homework and half of revision for yr end. what have i done? nothing.

it's super boring, with their snail-paced lessons n everything. class starts at 8, they haf the homeroom thingy so u go to the teacher instead of they coming to ur class. my buddy's supposed to b alessa, but somehow she always goes missing wif her friends, so us sg studets are left alone, together.

wait. tt doesnt sound rite. alone n together. but yea, we jus roam ard the sch as a whole bunch of sg students.

they talk during lessons. in art 2dae, we were given a pic of a building printed on a piece of paper, n were supposd to continue the picture onto the rest of the paper, such tt it looks like a photo. when i wuz done n irene n derniese almost finished, some german students havent even started. they were talking all the way lar.

then the guy infront of the 3 of us turn back.
"you guys are not allowed to talk in the local school classes?"

lol. their textbooks are in HARDCOVER. but nt very heavy lar. their chem tb's thinner than ours by 0.5 cm, in glossy paper, n still lighter than our a maths tb.

they have a cool hall. it's air-con-ed, well, almost everywhere is, xcept the canteen. the bb hoops, badminton nets etc. are all suspended on the roof, so u're supposed to use a remote to get them down when u nid them. we had soccer for pe in there for the 1st day. 1 n a half hr pe. nicee. but soccer's not.
they separate gals n guys during pe. the guys did swimming. the pool's in the sch.

im attached, or whatever u call it, to an 8th grade class. 13 yr olds. nice people, they are, but childish. mayb putting us with older ones ll b a better choice. at least they noe more n can teach us.

had french 2dae. they're learning it for the third yr, like we are for german. lol.

i've been leaving the sch at lunch everyday, since ytd. but i think i'll stay till the end 2moro. to c their religion class. dey've got protestant n catholic. dunno how they managed to put the 2 2gether.

n i conclude tt the students are rich. cuz the canteen food is super ex n they eat like it's free flow. i got fried noodles n a piece of chicken n an apple for $4.70. ok. ex as in when compared to our school canteen. yar.

the school provides education frm nursery to ard jc i think. got little kids to tall, big-sized guys who bully little boys. n they wear the same uniform. dark green polo tee with black collar n sleeve lining, with own black bottoms or sch berms. their logo's a palm tree. i c if i can get a sch jacket or smthn.

the hols ll b much much better wo the immersion. cuz of the slow pace, i end up super bored n unable to slp in class cuz i hafta uphold the image of sg students, i wait till i reach hm late afternoon n sleep all the way till dinner. lazy, i noe, but i can't help it. our schools are definitely for suitable for me.

and they say the german school's giving them alot of pressure compared to in germany. they shld let them haf a sg school immersion, i tell u.

ndp'06

the stadium entrance, gate 2 i suppose, where tappers enter the field for finale. one people, one nation, one singapore. never to be forgotten. ndp 2006, our global city, our home.




many photos were taken, all with smiles. are they real? yes, at tt pt of time. but the moment ll b forgotten in time to come. next year, when u speak of ndp 2006, nobody will rmb nh, nobody ll rmb tappers. the sad fact of life.

nevertheless, we had a blasting great time. the 20 minutes hairdo by the lovely cosmoprof gal, makeup also by cosmoprof, king's lady hurting black "tap" shoes n the red n white sequinned costume complete with visor n wristbands. everyone looked great. even though all guys had their hair spiked. i dont get it. is spiking the only way to style a guy's hair?

reached nh at 12+, with chingay tee n costume pants, socks n shoes. wanted to get my zuoye frm the locker but all stairs were locked. edmund ng saed it's a part of security measures. poor emily had her ndp ticket stuck in class too. had to get ticket frm yahoo! auctions. 40 bucks. lol.

aloy wuz our AI till 6pm, cuz jerry had to go pick up the pole (pro) dancers. he wuz telling us, "I'll be taking over until 6, while jerry go pick up the pro dancers." then i heard pole dancers. yep yep. imagine pole dancers at ndp.

brought my phone, inhaler n jerry's card to stadium. uncle sam gave out lollipop's on the bus, n i sacrificed mine for jerry. token of appreciation. got 1 class super pro. arranged all their lollipops into a bouquet complete with wrapping n ferrero rochers. for the AI. but ours wuz more meaningful. a card signed by every tap dancer. all 22 of us. n a lollipop. yar.

sorta slacked at the stadium once we reached. tappers mah. slept for awhile. it doesnt make me sian for the performance, like wenjie told merrien. im unique!

went for hair styling n makeup. my hair took so super long tt more than 5 ppl completed theirs while mine wuz still in the making. the stylist kept complaining tt my hair wuz too thick. so she sorta left a bunch undone. but it wuz nice. i love my hair. joanna had the coolest hairstyle ever. like, stand up n spiked at the back. the wonders of shirt hair. audrey had devillish princessy hair. the 2 nouns dont match, but under the hands of the pro hair stylist, phoom! fusion. jeslyn had ballroom kinda hair. nt realli suited for tap, but still nice. most of the others were ard the same lor, pong pong wan.

the eyeshadow person made my small eyes look even smaller with white eyeshadow. gahhh. so i cleaned off abit n went for the blue one. nt much better, but still better. yep. i dont want to be on national tv with puny eyes.

dinner was, no, not the grand pizza hut we had for cr1. it wuz the kfc we had for almost every other cr. 2 pc chicken, 1 bread, 1 whipped potato. i gave my chicken away to guys, n i think it wuz douglas who gave me an xtra whipped potato. niceness! so i ate the bread with whipped potato. i onli managed to finish half of the xtra one, gave the leftover to ziang. he can realli eat ALOT. like, 4 pc chicken, 3 whipped potato n 2 bread. amazed, but nt envious.

took more pictures after dinner. wif mr foo n mdm sung (spelling?). we were sorta running out of time then, n i wuz dragging by taking more pictures. lol. aloysius waited for me, then we ran back into the stadium, only to realise i left my phonf, inhaler n jerry's card n lollipop at our eating area. so we went back to get it. lady luck helped me ensure it wuz there. yepp. unlike my wallet.

then jerry came. after picking up the pole dancers. still carn get ovr tt joke, sorry. i had douglas be my eyes to find him, cuz i wuz w/o specs thus partially blind. presented him with the card n lollipop. he found the lollipop familiar. but, don't all chuppa chups lollipops look the same? other than packaging colour lar. he said he wuz touched. n added in "like that only arh?" hahas. then i told him he'll get my phone n inhaler later. lol. he always keeps those item for me during performances. took more photos now tt we haf our AI back. took individual ones too.

performance time. we took the net spray along, to do final touches on out hair. we screamed "strikeforce jiayou!!!" before thier performance n dey screamed "nan hua jiayou!!!" before ours. nice rite? only on stage right. stage left sure dont have wan. cuz we're special.

did pre-performance stuff, reminded each other to put on visors n smile, then the big thing came.

after 8x 8beats, we run down the stairs, onto to the stage. for our ard 1 min performance. now i realli understand the cl saying tt saes a minute spent on the stage is 10 years of hard work spent. we didnt really spend 10 years lar. but frm march till august, 5 mths. n the 20 min hairdo. haas.

made some errors, kncoked into douglas, but still great. tappers rock.

then we went to some entrance gate, 25b. wormed through the audience, all 22 of us plus jerry, to gate 2, where we waited for the "one people, one nation, one singapore" song to end before running n spreading all ard the field for finale.

phones were whipped out to shoot the fireworks. some soka guys even had digi cams. lol. we danced like mad, all tappers squeezed onto the stage meant for 4 ppl. super shaky. i wuz 2nd n the tip (the stange wuz triangular), wenjie in front of me. then we went down cuz some dancers (non-nh) were supposed to b dere. well, only one dancer wuz on the stage after we left. so we continued to b crazee on the field, did the train thingy n snaked along the field. b lim wuz hyper too.

all nh participants then gathered at the seats where we took a quan jia fu. 960 students plus ard 20 tchers. we went back to indoor stadium, where weicong n joanna did jerry's hair. we took more photos.

then jerry asked, "u all want slurpee? follow me." we tot he wuz going to bring us to 7-11 or smthn. but he brought us to one of the stairs to the 2nd floor, n took out 2 large cups of slurpee. apparently he hid them beforehand. we went crazee over it. coke n apple. 3 straws in each cups. so 22 tappers shared 6 straws. he sae onli 2 cups cuz he onli has 2 hands. well jerry, carriers are always available if u want to get a cup for each of us. (: slurpee now has n xtra special meaning to the 22 tappers.

boarded the bus, sat right at the back wif chun kiat. bcuz of my still-ulta beautiful hair, i couldnt lean on nething to sleep. i wuz so afraid tt i would lean on ck in my sleep. luckily i din. lol.

removed makeup in sch wif water n oil blotters cuz i had no tissue n toilet cubicles were occupied with sec 1 n 2s hu take freaky long at toilets. so i ended up having to change at the handicapped toilet.

reached home at 12+, rest of family alr came back frm stadium. they went to watch mah. haas. so now i haf four funpacks at home.

trashing session ytd...supposed to meet at 9 budden we started at ard 9.30 instead cuz alot of latecomers. like, i arrived at 9.51 n wuz the 1st one. den sam had to repeat his early bird specials mr brown style 5 times. lol.

schools "enlighten" us on racial harmony every year, with the canteen selling food frm other races n assembly inviting performers frm dance troops. we had an asia-sumthing dance troop 2dae, rather nice lah. the chinese guy wuz funni. like, graceful n serious. n the chinese girl's called grace!! the emcee wuz inroducing the dancers n the mike wuz having sum problem. sound wuz cut off when the chinese guy wuz introduced but we heard " and grace!!!" so tt's the chinese girl's name.
dey performed a dance for each ethnic grp, like, malays performed malay dance, chinese performed chinese dance n indian performed indian dance. den dey had a fusion dance where dey performed altogether.
then came the climax. dey invited ppl up. nick tan, kahswee, alfred, den dunno hu requested for mr see. so he went up too. lols. 4 non-dance guys dancing. n the indian girl saed nick wuz good. well, mr see's nt bad too!!(:
handed in my stats poster to mrs wong. mr (ed) ng saed the poster wuz too flimsy. wat to do? popular saed a1 too big, dey dun sell board of tt size. erm, nt popular sae. is one of popular's staff. n mr ng still asked mi go popular buy. lol.

singaporeans are super selfish.
i was carrying an armload of empty bottles, milo and activade packets at the national stadium after NE show. like, not really carrying. more of TRYING to balance. i walked past dunno how mani guys in camouflage uniform and almost all of dem stared at me. but none of them bothered to help. i actually wanted to get to the dustbin, for i wuz helping to cleanup, budden decided to throw everything into the nearest cardboard box i could see since the stuff were dropping soon n frm wat i c, nobody will try to help. not even try. dey'll just stand dere n bo chup.
so tt wuz wat i did. at the nearest carton, i just let go of my hands n allow the stuff to drop. less than 50% of the things went into the box, but i din care. y shld i when even our ns guys don't care? i thought ns wuz supposed to knock some sense into our singaporean guys?

p.s.the box i dumped stuff into wuznt even empty. had boxes of kfc, dont know whether full or not. if the box belongs to any of u ns guys, im sorry i threw rubbish into ur box of food. but ur comrades din care, so y shld i?

amber realised the same thing too. she lost her handbag at the arcade. left it behind after playing. den sum adidas shirt guy came to took it away. when she went back to the arcade 5 mins later n asked ard if anyone saw her handbag, everyone saed no. come on la people, wat good does feigning ignorance do to u? or did u guys all help to steal the bag? we've all been taught in pri sch civics n moral ed., that zhu4 ren2 wei2 kuai4 le4 zhi1 ben3. helping people makes one happi. n u guys just feign ignorance when a secondary school girl lost her precious handbag containing her wallet, credit card, ic, phone, loads of membership cards and makeup. i think they add up to a few hundred lahh. anw, the value of the stuff's nt the pt.

yes people, chapter six is finally out. after like, 21 days? okayys. enjoy!!(:

lisa didnt talk to michelle anymore. not even a word. she was nice and talkative to everyone else, but michelle. even to the person sitting beside michelle, emily. yes, picture lisa talking to and laughing with emily and michelle shutting up because she knew lisa would flare if she spoke.
a new teacher came, miss eu. she was nice and friendly to everyone, kinda motherly. she had everyone fill in an "about me" form, and michelle was unsure whether or not to write down her problem with lisa under the "things you want me to take note of" column. eventually, she decided to leave the column blank. she didnt know if she could trust miss eu, however nice she seemed. she could be a wolf under a sheep's skin, michelle thought.
michelle kept up the habit of walking back after school with dave and tam. and everytime, almost, she'll stand in the middle. she didn't want to, but it just came naturally. she didn't want to hurt anyone but herself. it didn't matter if she ended up with bleeding open wounds, as long as the others are not hurt.
school organised a leadership camp and participants had to be recommended by teachers. there was this girl, pat, in michelle's class who she's super jealous of. pretty, popular, and clever. everything every girl wanted. but michelle was more jealous of her than anyone else. you see, michelle wanted to go to the camp, hoping to improve herself n her relationships with others. she was not chosen. guess who was? yes. that girl. michelle couldnt understand. why was pat chosen? does every leader have to be pretty, popular and clever?
it turned out that dave was chosen for the camp too. and tam as well. the more jealous michelle was of pat.
michelle couldnt stop herself from sms-ing dave. even during the camp. they had a chat and dave told michelle he'll be watching stars with tam at night. dammit, michelle thought.
things werent going on very well in school. michelle was so distracted she couldnt even get the simplest maths. it was like hell. she wanted to leave school, she wanted to leave everything. and hopefully dave would notice why. she realli liked him. but didnt want to hurt him nor tam.

syf n ndp fam day performance

syf performance on 1st july!!! yes i noe it's ovr for like, 10 days?? haas. time to blog bout it yarr.

wasnt in a very gd mood tt day. so ppl seemed to keep pissing me off. like, when we reached stadium i saw j.lo burdened wif 10-odd flags, so i offered to carry sum, like, " i take some arr?" den he din reply. den i repeated. he din reply again. so i jus took the flags. den we sorta screamed "WHAT??" den i oso kinda yelled bac, " can u listen?" n he gave me tt stupid face n saed "no." so i threw the flags bac at him.
then while we were waiting for dunno wat cheri decided to come ovr n ask mi bout my skirt. the costume skirt. the blue n yellow cheerleader one.

flashback: one day, while my phone's sim card wuz still rejected, which wuz 1st few days of sch reopening, i went to sch as usual. then halfway thru the 1st few periods, jeslyn n cheri came to get me down to studio, say wat nidda get costumes. den we went down n saw mrs tan, hu fell down frm the stairs n sprained her ankle. she's still nt bac now. well, tt's nt the pt. the pt is, so i went bac to studio, where jeslyn n cheri saed dey reserved a set of costumes for me. n to my horror(or not), they were all of size 14. HUGE. den sumhow mrs raja managed to get a set of size 8, which fits me. yep yep. c the difference btwn 8 n 14. okay. BUT. when i tried the costumes on, the skirt wuz faulty. like, it wuz dose kinda skirt which had shorts sewn inside. n the skirt din match the shorts. like, if u wear the skirt the right way, then the shorts ll b slanted n u carn walk properly. n if u wear the shorts correctly, the patterns on the skirt ll b wrong. so i rejected it la, of cuz. den den got a size 10 skirt for me, which is 2 inches bigger. i had to take it la, if nt, SIZE 14!!! gahhh. evil ppl hu saed they reserved costume of me. ohwells, nt to blame. mayb dey din noe the meaning of the word. back to the story. the skirt, being 2 inches wider, had to b folded at least twice to fit me. i din want it to b too short, so i just folded twice. n i had to wear it low so it wun look very different frm the others'.

so cheri asked me why my skirt so short. den i bu-shuang-ly told the above story to her. like, it wuznt her fault tt i dun haf a proper set of costume (it wuz jesyn hu reserved the costume), but i wuz still pissed. cuz i dun haf a proper set of costumes n she wuz sorta rubbing it in. den we kinda quarrelled. den sumhow alot ppl bushuang me. gahhhh. watever. it's over.
spent alot of time sleeping n singing songs while waiting for rehearsal. mood wuznt tt bad then.(:
the band frm msia wuz nice. like, pink panther!!! n thailand's wuz the featherduster band. cuz dey had white featherduster-like thingy on deir hats. lol. the msia band major had a piano key pattern on his vest. haas.
opening wuz fine. dumb me did a part wrong. again. i did tt step wrong like, more than 50% for the past pracs. gahhhh. n nicholas plucked off my shoe!!!! when i came down frm chunkiat n eugene's palms, he wuz supposed to make sure i land safely n tried clasping on to my legs i guess, but ended up removing my shoe. so i did the rest of the performance wif my left foot half into the shoe cuz i cudnt wear it bac.
finale. zhipeng n i were like betting on hu ll win the best band n band major. tk got best band, deyi got the band major. n bowen, which i realli looked up to, din win anything. at all. so disappointing. okay, performance.stuff before the pulling of cloth wuz good, everyone wuz high. den when it came for time to pull the cloth i almost cudnt find the wooden rod in time. the cloth's attached to it, so when u pull the rod while running, the cloth unfolds. yep. but i still got it in time la. like just. den the cloth got stuck round a beatty girl's aircon pipe. but she helped mi take it off! niceness(:
seriously. zhiyang n theresa arent that heavenly. zhipeng's crazy over theresa. n loads of girls frm the core grp r crazy over zhiyang. n a nice person got theresa to sign on one of the pieces of cloth. gosh. it wuz silver paint marker lor...on yellow cloth. dont know which one. saw it while i wuz folding the cloth wif shiping. erm. no offence, i think zhiyang's fat. i saw him frm like, diagonal view. n hannbin thinks theresa has a big nose. but theresa's clothes were nice that day. white tube white pants, din notice shoes.
had kfc for dinner. 4 nuggets, shrooms burger w/o shrooms n sauce. for a vegetarian me. gawk.

NDP Family Day, 8th july
gave tickets to godmum. dunno hu went wif her.
reached sch early for dasam's leadership wkshp. did the personality test. rather, special. havent got results yet.
andrea gave me lunch frm excel fest. ateate. n had milo!!! omg im still addicted on milo. since a few weeks ago. den changed into costume. ugly n itchy n big red sequinned shirt wif white sleeves n white 3/4 pants wif 2 red stripes at each side. wristbands wif 2 vertical red sequinned striped, red sequinned visor n king's lady black shoe. dey hurt. my toes n my ankles. zhiyong lost one wristband, au had only one wristband n ziang din get shoes. not enough n sizes werent right.
locked our bags in bb room. i labelled my shoe box wif Stephanie(: so no one ll get the wrong box. but in the end someone still took cheri's by mistake tho she labelled hers too.
slept in the bus to indoor stadium. slacked in the puny place for a couple of hrs while core grp had rehearsal. yes. i think indoor stadium's small.
then we had another kfc dinner. whipped potato, a piece of chicken, n o.r. fillet burger w/o veg n sauce. again, for me the vegetarian. the AI told me to eat the whipped potato n go bac to him for more. i din la. i gave the chicken to weicong n ate the whipped potato n the burger. actually wanted to nt eat the chicken in the burger too, but still ate it in the end. den had tie guan yin n enervate. the isotonic drink of 70% coconut juice. it's nice. get it from supermarkets at $2+ for 3. when i can get endless supply for free. hahaas.
i had to get weicong, a guy, to bring me to the girl's toilet cuz i cudnt really c w/o specs on. lol.
den wuz makeup. by ppl frm cosmoprof. dese ppl r realli pros i tell u. i think hte total time taken for my makeup wuz like, less than half the time we do it in sch. n it wuz more than twice as nice. my dad cudnt recognise me frm fotos. gosh. my dad.
the performance wuz okay lahhs. like, i wuz at the corner n the camera wuz right above me, taking other ppl. nice. godmum saed she saw me. frm like, 4 or 5 rows above the choir. i think she's great. can c me frm so far when my own dad cant even recognise me from foto.
chiong-ed to the field after performance. for finale.the army ppl were saying thru the loudspeaker, " you have 3 minutes to get out of this place. we will be closing off the area for fireworks." jerry saed cuz the debris frm the fireworks ll burn us. lol.
finale wuz nice. we (tappers) spread ourselves among the mani mani ppl n waved our hands to the beats of the songs played. typical national day songs like, count on me singapore, home, we will get there...n dere wuz absolutely everybody! it wuz in syf too.
somebody wuz at the grandstand teaching us the steps to the music. like, the mystery voice. always can hear the person but cannot see.
the costume totally cannot absorb pespiration la. can suck in, but cannot evaporate. when i put my hands on my back it became wet. like i cud squeeze water out of my shirt.
dey gave out wristbands in the bus. hangten white ones that saed hangten [insert footprint], NDP 2006. sum other buses got red ones!!! n i got 5 bands. i wuz like, got xtra, i want!!! den dey gave me. ahaa. i gave one to my bro, one to an indonesian n 2 for myself. i gave one to nicholas too i think. n motivators had the bands of all sorts of colours. red, white, blue, orange, green...
i want to be a motivator the nxt time i participate in ndp. den can make balloons n gave presents n save some 4 myself!(:

people, if u ever need to tell me anything and think of sms-ing me, please don't. call me thru my house phone. because my phone's sim card's rejected. and im proud to say that i did it myself. haas.

the story goes like this:
i was at third lang, slacking with der while neiser went ard chatting wif everyone bout their jun hols. then i noticed that der, hu has the same phone as me, locked her phone with a code. i tot tt wuz fun, like the screen lock in my nano, so i decided to try. so i went to menu, tools, phone settings, security, and turned lock code on. the phone required me to enter code, and der told me it's 12345. so i entered that. then i got to set my new code. then i dunno press what, den the phone instructed me to key in code. so i keyed in the one i set. then it came up with some code error stuff, so i tried everything over again. then i dunno press what again, then the phone flashed a msg saying: invalid code. please key in PUK code. watever that is. der found out tt it's 8 digits, so i decided to try finding it by starting from 00000000. after i keyed in 00000003, the phone flashed the next msg. SIM card rejected

tadaa! so people, my phone is now out of bounds n i haf no contacts other than certain phone no.s of ppl which i memorised, the class relay and dance relay. yepyep.

the guys r rather ok. like, i can joke wif eugene n junyang n siian n ziang n wenjie. but nt realli heart to heart talks. never.

so now, during the hols, i guess it's time i try thinking of how i can improve my relationships wif ppl, hopefully wif the help of people. im not sure hu can help me, but i'll b happi as long as dere's sumone. if dere's nobody, i'll be fine, i'll just have to work out stuff myself. on top of the homework n appointments. wish me luck!

jun hols are here, and as it is every year, we are loaded with homework. and ndp trainings this year. sec 3 life isnt easy. there's loads of stuff to be done, homework and all. and we have to face pressure from teachers, friends and ourselves.
oh no. i'm beginning to have rashes. im suffering from headache and stomachache. i find myself needin the toilet more often. and the world's spinning!!!

ptc 2dae, but my mum din go. saed it wuz a waste of time. anw i spent the time at ndp training. it wuz super sunny n the field wuz super muddy. luckily tap dancers din haf to run. like, i dun mind if it's sunny. i luv sunny's days. there isnt an error in that sentence. i know what im typing.
one month isnt enough to complete the homework given. when we have so mani activities lined up for us.

obviously michelle couldnt wait to call, but it was realli late at night. she came up with an idea. she would wait till everyone else in the house was asleep before she made the call. so she laid on the bed, and waited for the 1st snores.
but. she fell asleep even before that.
she sent an sms apology to dave for not calling him, but inside her, she was hating herself for falling asleep so easily. if onli she din. then mayb dey wud haf stood a chance together. maybe dave wanted to talk to her about the both of them.
days later, michelle met with a friendship problem. a classmate, lisa, was ignoring her for no apparent reason. michelle found herself unable to confide in anyone in her class, so she started sms-ing dave. dave would always be saying, "nevermind if u dont haf a friend in class. im always here for you." michelle didnt know whether to be happi or sad with that. happi that she always has a friend around, or sad that dave n her would only remain as friends.
time passed. the relationship between michelle and lisa turned increasingly sour. michelle took every opportunity to try to patch up with the classmate, but obviously she didnt want to be friends with michelle anymore. she just treated her as if she was invisible.
soon, it was the school's annual road run. michelle never excelled in running, but that day, an invisible force seemed to be controlling her legs. she found herself to haf much more stamina than she imagined. slowly, she overtook one person after another. until she was behind lisa. she overtook her anyway. while overtaking another girl, cindy, michelle heard lisa shout, "cindy! don't lose to her! dont lose to that slut!"
michelle's heart skipped a beat. did she realli hear lisa say that? she didnt take immediate action, she just increased her speed and continued running. in her bubble of thoughts, she decided that, if cindy loses to her, she'll be a slut. thus she will slow down and let cindy overtake her. that moment never came. michelle just kept on running.
when michelle reached the finish line, she was third. she waited for cindy to arrive, but she did onli more than a minute later.
michelle couldnt stop thinking of what lisa had said. she didnt do anything wrong, so what made lisa say that? lisa cant possibly call her a slut for no reason, after all, they were the best of friends a few weeks ago! michelle could stand it no longer. she broke down. she cried.
both teachers and classmates came to comfort michelle, only to see her shake her head, refusing to say anything about what happened. after all, how would you ever be able to tell sumone that your once best friend called u a slut?
the medal across her chest didnt bring her any joy. it was, to her then, just a piece of metal with the words "road run 2006 third place" engraved on it. that was all. it dint come with triumph nor happiness.
the next few days in school, the incident was still swirling in michelle's mind. she looked around in class. all she could see were groups of three or four, sitting together and talking about their own topics. where to go during the holidays, where to find cute boys and what they think about a certain guy. in the midst of the groups, michelle was alone. she felt lonely. she wanted someone with her. whipping out her phone, she sent an sms to dave. " i feel so friendless. is it with me or is it with everyone else? oh fuck. i suck." she realli felt that wae at that time. isnt it true? is she doesnt suck, then why is she alone with no friends? she attempted to join in the group beside her. all it took was just one galce, and the members huddled even closer, apparently afraid that michelle might hear their whispers.
this time, no reply came. when michelle asked dave later that day, dave told her the same thing. i'll always be there for you, our whole class last year will too.
michelle din want that. she wanted to be close to her current classmates. brooding over the past will never help solve current problems. she tried talking to a teacher. the teacher suggested that she write a note to lisa, telling her how she feels and that she wants to know why she's being ignored.
she did, but there was no reply to the note. michelle thought she saw, at the corner of her eye, lisa shredding up the note and throwing the pieces into the bin.

chapter 4

michelle continued going home with dave and tam, and often teased them. she knew dave din really like being teased, but that seemed to be the only things she could talk about when out with them. she felt uneasy whenever she saw them look into each others’ eyes, how she wished it was her who was looking into dave’s eyes. she wanted to be with dave, but she did not want to hurt anyone. especially not dave.
one dae, while going back with the couple, dave suddenly asked michelle, “are you free this saturday?” michelle thought dave really wanted to ask her out, so she saed yes. no words could describe how happi she was then.
however, when she asked of the reason, her heart sank. dave wanted michelle to help choose tam’s birthday present. michelle wanted to conjure up a story that would gif her an excuse to not go, but she felt that to be a really good fren of dave, she should go, as she had promised.
so on Saturday, dave and michelle spent hours alone in the mall. to get dave’s girlfriend’s birthday present. michelle could never imagine herself in this situation, not even in her wildest dreams.
when they were in the mrt on the way home, michelle wanted to start a conversation on how they were in sec 1. but there was something preventing her from talking about her topic. so she jus continued teasing dave about being with tam.
days past. michelle saw the relationship of tam and dave progressing right under her nose. she wanted to, one dae, confess to dave her real feelings and hope that dave will sae something like “you know, i really like you too but u din show it so im now with tam. nevermind, i’ll breakup with her to be with you.”
michelle never had the guts to. and she was sure dave would never sae that to her if she really told him what she felt.
one night, dave sms-ed michelle. “are you free? can call me?”

dave and michelle were streamed to different classes, therefore they could not see each other as much as they did in the past two years. it was weird for michelle. she was used to turning back and seeing dave.
out of a sudden, dave stopped going home with his classmates of last year. at first, michelle thought he had something on. thus did not realli bother. after a while, she decided that something was wrong. so she started to go home with dave again. but this time, it was with a few of his current classmates. all girls.
once, when they went for lunch together, michelle, dave and his classmates, michelle realised dave looked at tam in a different way as he does to other girls. it was rather obvious that dave had fallen for tam.
after lunch, they left for home. michelle sms-ed dave, asking him to tell tam if he realli likes her. keying in each letter was like wringing her heart. but michelle just wanted dave to be happy. if he was happy, she'll be too, she thought.
the reply came after a a few seconds. the words struck michelle hard. "we are already together..."
