new exco

i'm pretty happy with the new dance exco. esp vice-chair, stephanie chia. haha. cuz that was what i wanted to be last year, and finally the name's on the list now, even if it isnt me.

yes, i'm here blogging at 12 11pm. i'm at home, cuz i'm down with bacterial infection. went to the docs yesterday after a traumatising day of running nose and sore throat and shivering in school. german compo somemore. i'm positive i screwed it up.

was feeling really awful in school, so i sms-ed frau oestlund if i could take my compo another day. she didn't reply for quite some time, so i called up moelc office. the lady said that even with an mc, i'll either fail or get zero. so i cabbed there in the heavy rain with grace and huishan. only when i reached the centre did i receive frau oestlund's reply. "you can take the exam on friday. come and see me." dang. told her i'm already at the centre, so it's okay.

hannah lent me her sister's mgs jacket during the exam, else i think i'll freeze or smthn. was sitting at the back, and herr neiser couldnt spot me when taking attendance. damn funny. he was like, "and finally..." cuz my name's the last on the name list, "eh? i thought i saw her just now..." and he glanced around the classroom several times. i decided he couldnt see me, so i popped my head out and smiled. then he went "AHH! stephanie!" and we all burst into laughter.

thank you jiabin for the good luck message yesterday, and ruth's on monday.
Gott sei dank, dass ich mich erkalte nur nach meine mundlichen prufung am montag. aber es wurde besser ist, wenn ich nicht kranke bin.

that's my antibiotics. it's damn big, 2cm in length, as you can see. the packaging's abit over done too, if you refer to the first picture. for each capfule, the casing thing takes up like, 4.5 cm. luckily the tablet's not that size. and oh, note the side effects.

and this is my flu cum fever tablet. it has a crown on one side! haha.
tomorrow's german compre and listening. hope i'll produce decent results. i'm aiming for h2 german, which'll require a grade of b3 and above, for both prelims and o's.
i've slept for more than 12 hours from last night till this morning around 11, and i think i'm going to sleep more. bye.

he said.

it's just that feeling, he said, those who have never felt it will never know.

why must things be so complicated? can't the world just be simple?

und ja. morgen ist meine deutsch muendlichepruefung. MIT HERR NEISER. jetzt fange ich alles auf deutsch denken an. denken, dachten, gedacht. ARGH.

wow it's updated.

the first thing that struck me once blogger took me to my dashboard was:
wow. nhds blog's updated.
it's been left dead for quite awhile. haven't gone to see the new post, will do so later.
yesterday was njc open day, and me and liwen were brought around by leungyan. yes, the valedictorian of nh last year.

leungyan: why are there so many people looking at me as if they know me but i don't know them?
liwen: speech day. (his valedictory speech early this year) it spoils everything.

went to the sigma lab, 've no idea what it stands for. was pretty facinated by the chinese names they gave the equipment.

s n t (science and technology) member: and now you will see a video of a disection done by us.
me: of what?
s n t member: frog.
liwen: are you disappointed?
me: yes.
liwen: what did you expect?
liwen and me: human.

well we didn't really see the disection luh. just the removal of skin at the underside, then the people were using all sorts of funny tools to try to splice the flesh. quoted: "hey the scapel's not sharp enough! "then they used needles and scissors but were still unable to cut open the flesh.
the nj mascot shook hands with me twice, but never with liwen. once in the linkway slope area, the other time in the library. makes me wonder who's inside.
and yes, stephanie can't do h2 maths cuz she's never passed a maths. the teachers were trying to put words together when i told them i've never passed a maths. i think they were trying to rephrase "well for such a loser like you, you should just cancel njc off your list of jc choices." whatever. i don't want to go there anyway.

eugene: i know! you this kind of people come here to take goody bag only right! i know!

stupid nj ip choir guy. replied my sms one week late. when georg (gee-org) and frederich (frederick) and company went back that morning.
liwen was pretty fascinated by the fact that i spoke german to the german teacher there. leung yan brought us to the german room mah. i don't even recall speaking german actually. i only know leung yan said "sie lernt deutsch auch." (she learns german too.) to the teacher, then she started talking to me.
this supposed senior person gave me an indian dance bangle. i guess the uniform really does wonders huh.

that aside. we celebrated mdm yong's birthday during recess yesterday. with the drawing she requested for and bee hoon treat by her.

don't wonder how i took this photo. even though you can actually see my shoe, which'll give you a hint.

the drawing by amber we took off the noticeboard to give mdm yong. i had to be real high to take thig picture okay. it's a1 sized.

bee hoon in canteen! we sang the birthday song real loud, despite protests by mdm yong. i guess when you're older you don't really want to accept the fact that you're aging huh.

oh the drawing was presented by felice and qimin, qimin cuz she looked sorta porn after running 2.4 in the rain. the drawing was big enough to cover.

more pictures on photo blog, do go over to see.

Sunday, August 19, 2007

hey.

(i've edited this post twice thrice.)
my mind's swirling now.

me:
can you help to buy cake for august? tomorrow cut during recess.
ruth:
okay. what flavor.
me:
anything. just don't spend above 30 or yanglu will go crazy.
ruth:
haha then there'll be a disease called mad goat disease.

i'm pretty bored. yet occupied. cuz i've got alot i need to do but i don't feel like doing any. (and jj tagged to remind me of how near prelims are. zzz.)

liwen says she worries for mrs tan. dunno if she'll vomit blood upon seeing my a maths work. heh. that shows the state of i-dunno-what i'm in.

oh. stephanie failed three subjects for common test two. a maths was the wonderfullest, 25%. then ss was 44.something and HIGHER CHINESE 46.4. yes believe it, i failed chinese. ruth went: "eh i don't believe. chinese lit one leh."

so now you all know. chinese lit doesnt equate to good chinese. i can't do compre for nuts. i've got poor understanding, whatever. it's the same with english. failed the ct initially, dunno where mrs owyong found two marks to make it 16 upon thirty. but i'm glad she did, otherwise i'll have four underlined subjects. when i take ten. lol. (and german prelim's earlier than all others by more than a week, and i still suck at it. damn.)

frau tan says: i want simple sentences. don't give me complexity, then you get them all wrong.
i recall something i told mr chow, "simplicity is bliss!"

just in one third lang class, with less than thirty people, we've got three people with the same phone. my phone.
aaron:(to derniese) hey no fair you've got the same phone as me!
derniese: (to aaron) hey i got my phone first okay.
steph: (to derniese) wait. you've got the same phone as me and he's got the same phone as you?
so yes, we lined up our three nokia 6680s in their original greyish wine cover and began admiring each others'. and me and derniese got codes that aaron can't solve!

yes, i haven't figured out what' it is with guys named aaron. they've got the same kind of personality. like, lameness that makes you love and hate at the same time. hannah thinks he's annoying. not the nan hua aaron chan, but the acs barker aaron lee or something. can't rmb his surname but i know he's called jun wei in chinese. frau tan pronounces aaron as AHron. and he's a moodswing-plagued pregnant lady who eats those sour things. heh.

there's something wrong with my typing today. i've lost count of how many times i've hit the backspace button.

qingyun: "whoa you type arh.."
me: "what."
qingyun: "so fast! like, jkadhfleuiwfb then finish liao!"

and i proclaim, ne quiz is dumb. ruth got highest when i left the room. haha. some answer-question-to-get-money-then-spend-it-building-stuff-on-the-island game. every ten minutes or so it goes "congratulations! due to your leadership, singapore has successfully progressed into the next era." and i emerged as an expert builder in the end. thank you very much, but yeo xin ying stephanie doesnt relish being an architect later in life.

i think i'm psychotic.

i'll be there (that's me) says:
i can't imagine a computer in my room.
i'll be there says:
i won't dare to sleep, thinking that there'll be a face in the monitor staring at me.
i'll be there says:
haha
4K15 - [siyuan] compo! says:
=x
4K15 - [siyuan] compo! says:
now i dont dare to sleep ><
i'll be there says:
that's too bad then
i'll be there says:
you could move the computer outside.
i'll be there says:
haha

i realised this post's sorta random. english teachers put it this way: "you're writing whatever comes up to your mind at that time." i concur. otherwise how to blog? must write out drafts meh.

hmm that's a good idea. i know zhongyi does that when he did the quote-from-my-blog post on the dance blog the other time. maybe i shall try the next time.

nokia phone holders pay attention:

Dear Nokia Customer,

This is a product advisory for the Nokia-branded BL-5C battery manufactured by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co. Ltd. of Japan between December 2005 and November 2006. This product advisory does not apply to any other Nokia battery.

Nokia has identified that in very rare cases the affected batteries could potentially experience over heating initiated by a short circuit while charging, causing the battery to dislodge. Nokia is working closely with relevant local authorities to investigate this situation.

Nokia has several suppliers for BL-5C batteries that have collectively produced more than 300 million BL-5C batteries. This advisory applies only to the 46 million batteries manufactured by Matsushita between December 2005 and November 2006. There have been approximately 100 incidents of over heating reported globally. No serious injuries or property damage have been reported.

Consumers with a BL-5C battery subject to this advisory should note that all of the approximately 100 incidents have occurred while charging the battery. According to Nokia's knowledge this issue does not affect any other use of the mobile device. Concerned consumers may want to monitor a mobile device while charging that contains a BL-5C battery subject to this product advisory.

While the occurence in the BL-5C batteries produced by Matsushita in the time-period specified is very rare, for consumers wishing to do so, Nokia and Matsushita offer to replace for free any BL-5C battery subject to this product advisory.

The BL-5C batteries which are subject to the product advisory were used with the following Nokia models or separately as accessories:

Nokia 1100, Nokia 1100c, Nokia 1101, Nokia 1108, Nokia 1110, Nokia 1112, Nokia 1255, Nokia 1315, Nokia 1600, Nokia 2112, Nokia 2118, Nokia 2255, Nokia 2272, Nokia 2275, Nokia 2300, Nokia 2300c, Nokia 2310, Nokia 2355, Nokia 2600, Nokia 2610, Nokia 2610b, Nokia 2626, Nokia 3100, Nokia 3105, Nokia 3120, Nokia 3125, Nokia 6030, Nokia 6085, Nokia 6086, Nokia 6108, Nokia 6175i, Nokia 6178i, Nokia 6230, Nokia 6230i, Nokia 6270, Nokia 6600, Nokia 6620, Nokia 6630, Nokia 6631, Nokia 6670, Nokia 6680, Nokia 6681, Nokia 6682, Nokia 6820, Nokia 6822, Nokia 7610, Nokia N70, Nokia N71, Nokia N72, Nokia N91, Nokia E50, Nokia E60

This product advisory applies also to the following accessories:
Nokia Wireless GPS Module LD-1W, Nokia Wireless GPS Module LD-3W

“Nokia” and “BL-5C” are printed on the front of the battery. On the back of the battery, the Nokia mark appears at the top, and the battery identification number (consisting of 26 characters) is found at the bottom. If the battery identification number does not contain 26 characters, it is not subject to this product advisory.

go there to check if your battery falls under that manufacture date and needs replacement. all three of mine don't have to be(:

You scored as French/Spanish/OtherLanguage, You should strongly consider majoring (or minoring) in a foreign language, especially French or Spanish as they have a greater use in today's world. But other languages could be useful to you as well, such as Chinese, Japanese, German, Italian, or many others. With a major in a foreign language you could teach, or work for a company as a translator or foreign correspondant.

It is possible that the best major for you is your 2nd, 3rd, or even 5th listed category, so be sure to consider ALL majors in your OTHER high scoring categories (below). You may score high in a category you didnt think you would--it is possible that a great major for you is something you once dismissed as not for you. The right major for you will be something 1) you love and enjoy and 2) are really great at it.

Consider adding a minor or double majoring to make yourself standout and to combine your interests. A minor in a foriegn language is useful for ANY major. Also, business or political science are great minors for a foreign language major.

jeffery

while having dinner at jp's kopitiam just now, this man came to me. he had a lanyard round his neck, and apparently his right hand's unable to function. was sort of mutated.
but well, that's not the point. he placed a little red plastic bag of somwthing that looked like a sandwich on my table, and flashed the lanyard at me, making sounds that promted me to read the card.
it said : "my name is jeffery and i have speaking disabilities. please be patient with me." so i gave a little nod. then he gave a fierce wave to the table beside me at which a couple was having their meal. he had approached them before he came over, and i think they were rude to him, cuz he screamed pretty loud at them.
he left the plastic bag on my table, then went off, i guess, to get food. the table i was at had only two chairs, one i was sitting on and the other for my bag. i put my bag on my lap and moved the chair further away so maybe he could sit when he came back.
yes, he returned. with some snacks to take away with him. he was using his left hand to untie the knot on the red plastic bag he left on the table and it looked like it wasn't easy (i saw, it was a double knot) and i was thinking that if he still can't do it, i might help him. but he did it anyway.
after he put his food into that open bag and tied it back and left.
but before that, he pointed and sort of non-verbally insulted that couple i mentioned earlier. i just smiled and said bye. then he said "okay!" (and i thought he was supposed to have speaking disabilities) and made some funny noises and bent towards me, showing me the card again. i asked him to take care, and said bye fore the second time. he said "okay" again, and i said bye for the third time (i was getting pretty pissed by then) and he finally left.

my mum saw me typing this, so i told her the whole story. she thinks it's the same man that goes to her branch of macs to ask for free food. cuz of the flashing the card thing. well i don't know.

wed math

liwen owes andrea two bucks cuz she lost a bet on whether it was night study of humans on thurs or fri. LOL.

today mr chia treated us chicken rice! he just went around the canteen, saying, "i going tabao chicken rice, you all want?" so i think he ended up clearing the chicken rice stall. we had nine people seven packets, since jas and ade bought dinner earlier. yes, chicken rice ration. cuz ours was a pretty small amount as compared to their cai fan. haha. but i still gave bright and kerong half my rice luh. and basketball with andrea! heh.

a math with liwen and jasmine and adelaine and chiuping and bright and kerong and andrea and junjie. heh. kenyi was shouting to his friends in basketball court, so i out of fun went "shhh!"
then he turned around and said sorry. and i realised we were like, the noisiest bunch in the whole canteen, out of the sixty two people. yes i counted.

so today i was in school for more than 12 hours. 7.30am reach school, 8.30pm leave school. thirteen hours lor! and and, the sky's the same colour when i left school just now as when i leave my house in the morning for school!

411'07!

yes i know it's monday, and i've got an a maths test later. was lazy to update, but i couldnt stand seeing my latest post everytime i open up an internet window. heh.

saved a 518kbps version of class video. it's not the best resolution around, but at least i've got something to hand in later. anything above that and my comp goes bonkers. i think i need additional computers more than aaron does.

(i'm racking my brains to think of something to add on)

i'm pretty weird. when the national day long hols came, i was rather much hating it. but now i'm like trying to preserve every minute and second of what's left.

when by right, the holidays have been over for twentuy minutes. (and stephanie, you need to go to sleep.)

i cheated. i didn't do three paper two section bs of the many chem other schools papers we were given. it doesnt really matter to me anymore luh. i've been doing so much chem that now i don't know what i'm doing. maybe i should just focus on a maths.

oh, i scored a double digit the other time. 10 upon forty. heh.

and, i've been getting fatter staying at home. cuz i eat and sleep and use the comp and eat and sleep. wonderful.

now i'm convinced i need school. and i'm doing to look for mr chow tomorrow later. it's going to be interesting. read his blog(:

受伤的翅膀

today's been spent saving and resaving class video. i think, for nearly 24 hours already. thank you aaron for that suggestion to defrag my comp and everything, but saving's to no avail till now. i'm just hoping somebody from the grad night committee will see this and will be able to help.

been thinking of this song recently. should be cuz of what's happening lately.

don't wanna miss you

and oh, have you seen the mcdonald's crew in their pirate-like t shirts? it's meant for natl day, but they'll don it on sundays till the end of this year. i think it's..well..not very mcdonald's luh.

national day'07

dang. one year ago...

i've been doing that alot today. just can't help remembering last year's ndp. even jerry's doing that da bum ba dum thing on my tagboard.

yea man. one year ago at this time i think i was still on the way to school because they let the sec ones and twos go back first and us sec threes had to wait for the last bus to send us back after sending the rest to school. and i took the last train home for dunno how many saturdays.

but well, one year's come and gone. time really passes fast huh.

so anyway. i received my first "happy national day" message from mr foo. yes, principal of nan hua high school. though i've got this feeling fang yu helped him send it. cuz it had a smiley face which i don't think my principal would ever use.

mum: ndp not at national stadium doesnt have the ambience.
me: well three years later (cuz the floating platform will be used for three years), you'll say that ndp at a stadium's weird.

svc award

happy national day eve!
walked to school with daphne, then we got ourselves a very big surprise. saw miss j lim as we walked up stairs, expected her to catch socks so we went back down and pulled up socks. then walk in. then she pointed at the two of us and said:

all red t-shirts MUST be tucked in. you two stay here and tell all the other students to tuck in their shirts for five minutes until i come back. then i'll find another two to replace you.

but we definitely stayed for more than five minutes luh. it was fun though, getting everybody to tuck in their shirts. we were like,

tuck in your red shirts, else jesse lim catch. yes i know it's stupid, i think so too. walk past then can pull out already.

the best, man. and daphne was complaining about being late for service award assembly the whole time.

so at seven (we reached at 6.41), miss lim finally released us. we ran to canteen. and were only asked to line up after like eons. number one hundred and eighteen! yes, that's my number, so i was like the third last. almost hyperventilated when i saw that it was mr lau giving out prizes. and mr foo was talking to miss lin rc. gag. i'd much prefer my principal than my 2nd vp.
but anyway. i heard 411 cheer loud loud for qingyun. and when it was my turn, it was apparently louder, and when mr lau shook my hand, he said:

whoa you very popular huh.

i smiled and said thankyou and left. with my cert and plaque in hand, i proceeded to amphitheatre to join the rest. and when i walked past the wall structure, i heard some guy say:

slut class also can get arh.

wonderful. but i just walked on. a little two one gathering there with mr tan. he said that he expected nothing less. there were fifteen ex-twoone service award recipients okay. liwen and i went to count. so we chatted for awhile, then aaron poped the question.

eh mr tan when are you getting married arh?

then he was like. okayokay i need to go. i love my sec one and two form teacher man.

interclass games were awesome. though we didn't win, but we definitely had loads of fun. fournine was pretty violent during captain's ball, but they had the skills luh. floorball was against them too, and this time i played. i think we lost like, one three or something. but it was fun. it was only after that game that i really felt that any title's unimportant. it's just vauge, what matters is your experience throughout.
skipping. we just kept jumping and jumping lor. and i think we're the only class with the teacher voluteering to join us okay.

MDM YONG WE LOVE YOU!!

yea she came down from the hall to skip with us for around ten minutes before she had to go back up. so we just kept skipping. really great class bonding activity, doesnt matter if we only had six people skipping together.

when the sec four classes were asked to assemble, four eleven formed a big circle and began playing games. concentration and heart attack. damn fun. i was telling melissa as the chairmen and vice chairmen were to gather at the back of the hall, that today i felt that i really love my class.

after dismissal, actually was to go with ruth and clarissa and emily and cheryl y to pizza hut for lunch. but then amber at the other end wanted to go bukit timah, so they accomodated the post-surgery girl. and i left with gen and four one people. initial plan was to go jp, but there was some objection only when we reached central. so we stayed at the mrt station blocking the way at the slope for a million years. and since we couldnt come up with a decision, some smart-ass suggested we just take the mrt to some random place. i was anti-town cuz i didn't want to accomodate those that deviated from the plan. was pretty pissed when they couldnt come up with a proper location, so i said that if they really can't decide, i'll get off at the next stop and go home.
and that was what i did. alighted at buona vista and went home.

thank you weijie for those sms-es.

we pledge to keep our nation free, with justice and equality.

But its still up to us to feel the rush
To pursue all the things only Gods can touch
I wanna meet the odds with royal flush
To fall
I gave my all
But it wasn't enoughI'm never giving up
I found life
So I've gotta live it up
And life is too short for war
What can I say to show theres more
With people slammin doors in my face and what for
That aint the way to gain plays
By making the same mistake day after day
I gotta slide man get away the smile on my face its a sunny day girls and drinks and more drinks
Come to think
For such a big place its a small world
For such a rat race i still got faith
And anything goes still I got to say life has its ups and downs but I love it anyway

Hey pretty girl pretty girl its on
We gonna dance like boogie come on
Do it all night long
Let it go ain't no holding back now
Gotta slide pretty baby that's right
There's nothing I can't do with you by my side
There's nowhere we can go that we wouldn't show 'em up

steph's cool.

as told by joy:
one day, grace went home and told joy,
"jiejie! i think stephanie 比你cool leh!"

joy's response: "huh. 我cool meh."
and i said: "i never dare to smile to grace, 因为她每次都用很funny的眼光看住我."
joy: "可能她看你没有跟她笑then 她也不敢跟你笑."
(man that was hard to type. why must singaporeans speak like that?!?!)

okay. in the end, can somebody tell me exactly how "cool" i am? (i've received many comments from people that i look like i'm picking for a fight when i don't smile. lol.)

and yes, i love the swarovski crystal handphone strap. thanks!

tagged.

here's responding to aaron and ruth:

Each player of this game starts off with TEN weird things or habits or little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged must write in a blog of their own TEN weird things/habits/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you must choose SIX people to be tagged and list their names. NO TAG BACKS.
  1. i learnt ballet for eight years, yet i was only at grade two when i quit cuz of asthma. i quit art lesson in pri three cuz of the same reason.
  2. i've got a grade one in keyboard. quit cuz my hand was too small at that time to play the notes mi and high do at the same time :x
  3. i'm a lazy person. when i do homework, i'll just put everything on my bed while i do stuff at my table. then when i find the bed too cluttered, i'll just leave the things there and go sleep in my brother's room. that's how i survived this week.
  4. i like to sleep on hard surfaces. that's why i sleep best at camps, cuz all they give us is wooden bunks. nice.
  5. i don't like to take initiative to talk to people. it sounds pretty stupid, but yea. if you don't start talking to me, i wont's talk to you. lucky aaron said something that prompted me to reply, else i'll have lost a really good friend.
  6. i played basketball nearly every week since pri 5 to sec 1. with pri schoolmates. then one fine day weimin decided not to go, then the whole group fell apart, and i've never really touched a basketball since. not counting pe lessons. and i can't shoot nuts now. jessie can vouch for that.
  7. i can't watch horror movies. the last one i watched was child's play in student care, and i had to have my dad sleep with me for a few months. since then, i've never dared to watch anything horror. even incredible tales on channel five gives me the creeps.
  8. but very few people have scared me, e.g. hide in some corner and scream "boo!" as i walk past. ask ruth. sometimes i scare her instead.
  9. i've got split personalities. just in school, i'm different in class, with 4/1 people, in dance and along the corridors. i'm the craziest in class, then 4/1, corridors then dance. sometimes i'll randomly talk to people i don't know along the corridors.
  10. i've got dory memory. well for some things i can remember right down to the tinniest detail, cuz for others, uhm, they're just chucked away in some ulu corner of my brain that neurons seldom get to.

and i'm tagging: annabel, aloysius, annette, shana, amber, kaiwen! wow. four a people out of six. hah. you're it!

missed!

i've missed being online. but now that i'm online, i've got this little invisible organism tugging at me, asking me to go do my work.

reminds me of dobby. dang we're all going harry potter-crazy. "dobby will do everything harry potter asks him to!"

okay, little thing, i'll go after i'm done with this post okay? you've got no idea who's been longing for my update.

well actually, i don't even know myself. clarissa suggests putting a counter. but imagine the utter disappointment if i check on two consecutive days and see that the counter hasn't jumped at all.

anyway. happy birthday mozzie!! fifteen of us from 4eleven shared her present, yes, 15. we got her a doll house complete with a doorbell with sound, a family with a daughter, a dog that's bigger than the daddy (miss j lim pointed that out) and toilet bowl and sofa and stereo and everything.

and congrats qingyun on her acceptance for dsa into acjc! i hope to receive more success reports from the rest who applied!

my mum just screamed at my bro, who's pri four and got a p2 maths qn wrong. damn. i can't do a maths okay. here's proof:
e maths class test: 47/50
a maths class test: 8/30.

wonderful huh. and i'm very happy with my bio ct marks! (:

Sunday, July 22, 2007

heh.

Ich bin eine glückliche Mädchen, die ermüde zu.

  4. ss chapter 5 for test on thurs
  5. bio 2005 for mrs lip

and the day'll be over in 7 hours 45 mins time. jubilations.

anyway. ballet under the stars with gen and aswin and gwen (gen's sister) and clarissa(gen's cousin) and gen's uncle and aunt last night. it was...nice luh. i still think the rgs syf costume looks like toilet paper. and the third item had some hiccups cuz of a dancer's injury. the way the choreographer annouced it was real cool. like, "voila. hi, i'm the choreographer, _______. we apologise that due to an injury, we will not be able to perform the 2nd part or the item, however we will carry on with the 1st and 3rd part. we will, still play the music for the 2nd part, in respect to the composer ________. he wrote the piece for his son's birthday."

reached home at 11+ and slept at past twelve, which means that i was awake for a whole 24 hours. or even more than that, cuz i woke up at 11.57 on friday night. heh.

Saturday, July 21, 2007

gag.

friends've been weird lately.

(i just saw a picture of a cheque of 1 million dollars on my calendar.)

i love these emails.

From: Mr.khalid mahmoud.

My name is khalid mahmoud, A Bahrain national I have been diagnosed with Oesophageal cancer .It has defiled all forms ofmedical treatment, and right now I have only about a few months to live, according to medical experts.I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared for anyone(not even myself)but my business.Though I am very rich, I was never generous, I was always hostile to people and only focused on my business as that was the only thing I cared for. But now I regret all this as I now know that there is more to life than just wanting to have or make all the money in the world. I believe when God gives me a second chance to come to this world I would live my life a different way from how I havelived it. Now that God has called me, I have willed and given most of my property and assets to my immediate and extended family members as well as a few close friends .I want God to be merciful tome and accept my soul so, I have decided to give alms to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of the last good deeds I do on earth. Sofar, I have Distributed money to some charity organizations in the U.A.E, Somalia and Malaysia. Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this myself anymore. I once asked members of my family to close one of my accounts and distribute the money which I have there to charity organization in Bulgaria and Pakistan, they refused and kept the money to themselves. Hence,I do not trust themanymore, as they seem not to be contended with what I have leftfor them. The last of my money which no one knows of is the huge cash deposit of Eighteen Million dollars($18,000,000,00)that I have with a finance House abroad. I will want you to help me collect this deposit and despatch it to charity organizations.

N/B:KINDLY NOTE THAT you will take out 20% of this funds for your effort and time. Regards, Mr.khalid mahmoud.
I WOULD WANT YOU TO REACH ME VIA MY PRIVATE EMAIL IFYOU ARE WILLING TO ASSIST ME.

abortion

just saw the you tube video of abortion on vera's blog (refer to links). actually, i've got varied view on that topic. like, you may say it's inhumane, since the aborted foetus is completely innocent. but.

if this mother already has five children, and out of the five three are disabled (think along the line of blindness, hearing impared, down's syndrome, autism etc.), and she's unemployed while her husband's an odd job worker. and one fine day she gets pregnant.

the chance that this child turns up abnormal is rather high, and the family can't really afford to raise another child anyway, even so if he/she comes out disabled. so i won't object if they choose abortion.

but of course, birth control would help solve the problem.

another one:
considering this couple are both high-ranked people in a company. (separate or not, you decide.) they've already got two kids, the younger one by accident. which means, they initially olny planned to have one child, since they're both busy. then another one fine day, the lady gets pregnant. accident too. mother and mother-in-law are both aged, father and father-in-law same as well, and they've already got two kids to handle.

and a few months later, a check shows that this foetus has down's syndrome.

i won't blame this couple for chossing abortion too, since they're already so busy and i personally think it isn't right to just dump your kids to your parents or in-laws. i mean, after all, they're YOUR kids, not you parents' or your in-laws' right? furthermore, this third child may cause everything else to be more complicated.

but of course, if another lady, who's married and hasn't had a child yet, suddenly gets pregnant one day, and decided to abort it after determining the sex of the foetus after three months. the couple wanted a girl, yet the scan showed a boy.

then it's a whole different case. they shouldn't be aborting the child for gender isn't everything.

0247

yes. it's 0247 hrs, "the wee hours of the morning", and i'm blogging.

the joy.

yesterday (12 july) was a special day! haha. aaron's blog for photos. no me though.

and. there's only one other person online right now. meng hua. and i doubt he's really in front of the comp.

but anyway. it's friday! which means, there'll be no school tomorrow and the day after tomorrow! ok that's lame. considering your truly's a sec four bombarded with all sorts of funny things ranging from tys-es and german compos scoring nine out of thirty.

something to be elated about:
4eleven got 2nd for interclass netball!!! or 1st...runner up, as yanglu put it. won 4/2 this time round, but lost to 4/8 4/10 combined.
from 3rd to 2nd, we shall get a first soon! heh.

hey. i think i'm going to do more work.
but wait. it's nearly 3am. go sleep, steph.

post-live earth

WOW. people went to LIVE EARTH concerts and left the place STREWN WITH LITTER.

which means, mr al gore, your idea of the concerts for a climate in crisis weren't really THAT successful.

though i enjoyed it!(:

and i seriously think the climate's getting crazy. it's raining really heavily now, like, low visibility and strong winds and thunder and lightning and red skies. how long ago haven't we had such heavy rains at 10.36pm on a sunday night?

the core rocks. the movie i mean, the one that was shown after life earth. don't take advantage of the planet people, yes, our lovely blue planet, else it'll STOP SPINNING and things will go horrendously wrong. like birds killing themselves by colliding into buildings, electricity coming out of coffee makers, tvs going off during the climate of a football match, earthquakes all over...well. we won't be killed, but our lives will be like torture.

oh, my printer just produced 16 printed pieces of paper. but it's printed on both sides and using only black ink, not colour. and i switched the printer off already.

---------------------------------------------------------
i called two organisations, and both asked for my ic number. to confirm the alphabet at the back, both asked "a for america?" haha. why not a for ang mo kio, or apple, or...well i think it's just like, those customer service officers go to the same training centres (a phrase my mum especially likes) and they teach them the same thing. or, they might be classmates.
...---...
that's sos in morse code. byebye.

LIVE EARTH!!!!

I PLEDGE:
-To demand that my country join an international treaty within the next 2 years that cuts global warming pollution by 90% in developed countries and by more than half worldwide in time for the next generation to inherit a healthy earth;

-To take personal action to help solve the climate crisis by reducing my own CO2 pollution as much as I can and offsetting the rest to become “carbon neutral;”

-To fight for a moratorium on the construction of any new generating facility that burns coal without the capacity to safely trap and store the CO2;

-To work for a dramatic increase in the energy efficiency of my home, workplace, school, place of worship, and means of transportation;

-To fight for laws and policies that expand the use of renewable energy sources and reduce dependence on oil and coal;

-To plant new trees and to join with others in preserving and protecting forests; and,

-To buy from businesses and support leaders who share my commitment to solving the climate crisis and building a sustainable, just, and prosperous world for the 21st century.

ahh. support Live Earth tonight, 7pm, 7th July 2007, in "the concerts for a climate in crisis". liked the trailer on channel five so much, but haven't been able to find it online to download. anybody have it?

"none of us is exaggerating. global warming is for real."

and oh, on the live earth website, to change the language, if you click on the sg flag, you get malay! i thought i'll get singlish or smthn. lol.

for fun:

Jahrhundert aufzubauen.

that was the live earth pledge in german.

I DON’T GET HIGH TO FLY*
written by terry lee

See some people strive to be good at what they do, you know
But among them are the folks that strive to be best in the business.
I like to believe I’m one of those... you know why, listen
I'm confident I'm living,
The life I chose to live in
Honestly, I tell you I’m fine
I made it on my own,
For all the things I’m known,
And it shows, you hear it all in the beat,
(Hear that)

Young and fly is I
I’m doing what I like, I’m alright
(hey dawg I’m fine ain’t a thing on my mind)
Don’t spend my time getting high
I rather do what I like
I’m living high off the life, you know
(everything is going on)

I don't get high to fly,
Ain't got no reason why,
Me, myself and I,
We’re just fine,
I don't get high to fly,
Or have a drink but why,
Me, myself and I,
We’re alright,
We don't get high to fly.
The sun is shining bright,
My life is looking fine,
I had troubles
But they’ve all gone away

I'm sure that you been there,
Trying to make a choice,
Doubt is in the air,
But you're clear.
(You already know what you want)

The weak ones spend their time,
tryna alter their minds,
But I got control of mine

Young and fly is I
I’m doing what I like, I’m alright
(yes I am fine don’t need it to get me high)
Don’t spend my time getting high
I rather do what I like
I’m living high off the life, you know
(everything is going on)

(No, no, no)
I don’t need nothing more (I don’t need nothing more)
Than me, myself, I (me, myself and I)
So tell me when you ready to fly (fly)

People talk about needing something else,
The only thing they need is not to lie to themselves,
I’m good I’m fine I’m happy alone,
No coke no pills no weed in a cone,
One thing though, I’ll tell you lightly,
Tell it how it is now how it might be,
Honestly, I made a choice to be,
Number 1 in this whole industry,
You know the name and the game where I be,
The famous, one and only name is T Lee,
Mama told me the worse like this be
You ain’t never higher than the highest in me
The truth is in me believing in me
I need nothing else to elevate me
Love or hate me, young and healthy
Flying trying to be the greatest I be

Music (miss yeo-inspired compo)

Music
We always dreaded those lessons. The weekly lessons in a badly-decorated Music studio, the half-an-hour sessions that seem to drone on forever, a period in our timetables where we listen to the teacher “who can’t sing” share with us the history of Music and recite pieces off-tone, claiming herself that she has a bad throat.

Beethoven, the Renaissance, there seemed to be so much that we were tested on termly, but I only have these two examples in my mind, simply because she articulated them in a weird accent. Till now, I do not know whether it is Bee-tho-ven or Beh-tho-ven. She used both. Also, whether it is Rer-nai-sence or Reh-ner-saun. She used both too.

We never bothered to ask, it did not seem to matter anyway. Why would we want our young minds to be cluttered with Music history? How does it even affect us that Beethoven was deaf? It does not, in the very least, change our lives when Bach produced his many pieces. In the society now, which teenager in the right mind would “give a damn” about the classics when the boom boxes all around are blasting genres of pop, rock and hip hop?

Nevertheless, being in one of the top schools in the country, it is in our blood to study for tests. So, even without the very minute interest in the development of Music over time, passing the eight tests she set us over the two years was a rather easy feat. I also remember vividly achieving an ‘A’ for a Secondary Two Music project with a few classmates who disliked the lessons as much as I did.

We thought we would be free from the heavy boulders chained to us that was Music when we finally advanced to Secondary Three, since Music lessons were only applicable to the lower Secondary students. We would mock the juniors carrying white and yellow Music files, trudging into the badly-decorated Music studio for half-an-hour-weekly sessions which seem to last forever with the teacher “who can’t sing” and always seemed to have a bad throat.

Little did we realise, that the little once-a-week sessions has embedded in each of us a microchip, one that nurtured in us culture, particularly in terms of art. Music seems to be what our lived revolved around, though seldom Fur Elise.

We do not anticipate stepping into the Music studio again, yet we always look forward to the occasional Music performances during assembly, where we, with the culture of Music embedded in us, appreciate and immerse ourselves in Music from all over the world.

Those two years may not have been very entertaining, but what it did to us was something that had enriched us, such that we will remain cultured citizens. Looking back, it is actually hard to believe what Music can do to one’s soul.

my cousin said it's time for me, at my age, to look for "close guy friends". haha. any takers?

Thursday, June 28, 2007

dead? no.

today's thursday! which means, school has reopened for four days, and what can i say.

school rocks! more of the people i think.

and and. assembly today was in aircon hall, and after we got out and returned to class, amb and i both agreed that it was pretty hot. eek. like, we're already used to the temperature in the hall, not that it was really cold, but good enough. though i would rather they have the classrooms aircon-ed instead.

imagine dancers in the stuffy hall, since the openings at the top are all sealed and only certain doors can be open, and i doubt they'll be able to dance in air-con. as in, not abilty able, but prohibition able.

liwen kept saying it's 117 days to o's. garg. but i'm still here anyway.

I'm talkin' bout love
All my girls stand in a circle and clap your hands this is for you
Ups and downs highs and lows no matter what you see me through
My boyfriend he don't answer on the telephone
I don't even know where the hell he goes
But all my girls we're in a circle and nobody's gonna break through

-------------------------------------------------------
@8.57pm

scrap that. the above's nonsense.

went to kfc with 4/1 people, made super lot of noise, but we had great fun. i tell you. josie and i were the best. aaron, jasmine, adelaine and liwen all succummbed to the dark side by eating. (all ate miso crunch, lol.) and the both of us didn't even go queue! heh. josie's rationale: we don't buy. we get from them and eat. while both of us were doing work. haha.

ehh. sec four ler leh. must do alot alot of tys. even amb's attempting, okay, planned, to do the tys thrice. i've never even thought of that. but well, most of us there doing work were doing tys luh.

then we talked, alot. of alot of stuff, ranging from class gossip to our first love. OMG AARON AND HIS PRIMARY TWO CRUSH, which he only knew about today. and yes, my p2 crush too. why does everything happen in p2? funny.

were damn high and damn noisy, i don't know why people didn't chase us out, though there were in fact pretty much staring. but what. you've got a problem with strong friendship? haha.

weijie and keng yang and aswin joined us halfway, then we got even high-er. then got rainbow on the ground, from light shining thru the glass door. phototaking frenzy. then we continued crapping and crapping and laughing and laughing. the bunch's super fun.

liwen sent me home, for the what, third time this week? and my mum was waving fro the balcony window. she called me when i was at the opposite block, the block which my balcony faces. so i was telling her i'm just opposite. then when we stepped out of the block i saw her going into the balcony, then she waved to us. and after like, five seconds, liwen still couldn't find where my mum was. after another five seconds of pointing out to her, she finally realised. lol.

yea and i'm proud of my girls cuz i saw them studying.(:

revive photoblog.

my dad, my bro and me formed a team and went for the buzz my day competition yesterday, organised by sbs transit and four other organisations in conjunction with its thank you commuters day. photo.

it was a "hunt for singapore's heritage", so we had to take sbs transport (bus and north east line of the mrt) all over singapore with clues from our question booklets to get to checkpoints and complete tasks. one of them was to get to chinatown and take a photo with a deejay at smith street. here:
we sorta ran out of time cuz we didn't have enough wits, so out of the five checkpoints, we only managed to go to three, one which i don't even think is right, cuz we didn't see the checkpoint standee there. but anyways, loads of fun. went back to vivocity, where we were to hand in our question booklets before three pm or be disqualified, and we reached at 3.06, so yes, our booklets weren't accepted. doubt we'll get anything even if we submitted it though.
nevertheless, we were entitled to lunch and goodie bags. and free popcorn and candyfloss.

that's lunch, yes, with compliments from sbs transit. from top, tuna (bro's), crabstick (mine) and egg mayo (dad's). mine was chock full of onions, and stephanie doesnt like onions. but nevermind. it was still edible.
the goodie bags contained maxim mags. cuz i think they were the official magazine or smthn. so we had three of the same magazine, and i thought i could like, have a peep. but dad kept all of them. when i asked, he just said (omg i typed sayed) that it's an adult magazine. so i didn't get to even touch it. i jus know that there were two books in the plastic bag, covers a lady and a f1 car. april issue. haha.
then i went to jurong west for the south west district arts festival opening ceremony.
there were dance comps going on, and they invited tanglin dance to perform. recognised those orange dance tees. so i was entertained by loads of dancing till around 8, then there was this performance by antagon AKTion, a german theatre company. their item had stilts and fire and light effects and a live band playing the background music. awesome.

halfway through, this china lady sat beside me. the volunteers (aka teenagers chalking up cip hours) gave out feedback forms, and i helped her fill in hers, and from there i found out she was a teacher. a heavily accented one, so i suspect she's a teacher in china, not sg. anyway.
she asked me about school, compared nh with rgs and nanyang while i was trying my best to defend nh as much as possible. then then. she asked if i was from china. i said no, i'm a singaporean. she commented that i had an accent. wow. thank you chinese lit china people for cultivating that accent in me.
after the performance by antagon, there were fireworks. stephanie doesn't like fireworks. i think it's a waste of money. but i understand many of you like them, so, here's a photo.
i realised i've been abandoning my photo blog ever since my camera was lost/stolen, but now that i've got a new one, it's time to revive it. more photos on the two events'll be there, after i have dinner after completing this post. (:

last weekday of hols!

okay okay. i finally did abit of studying. a little little bit! like, maybe 15 questions on differentiation. the very very basic ones. i havent dared venture out. scary.

yes, studying on the rightfully last day of june holidays. i'm really enjoying these weeks man.

patched up class video, now it's 5 mins++ long. and i've lost count of how many hours i've put in to get that 5 minutes, cuz windows movie maker likes to hang. whether in school or at home, it's the same. and no matter how many times they upgrade the program, it still hangs. dang.

went out with my bro and ruth for lunch and nancy drew. the movie's awesome! go watch go watch.

and 4eleveners, i miss all of you, loads. i want full attendance on monday!

and i'm expecting travel tomorrow. nights!

prayer

dear God,

he was your creation, another one of your children, yet fate had that just after three months, he should go back to you , go back to heaven, even before he could have a glimpse of this wonderful world you've created. bless him, let him have a better future. and thank you for blessing me with friends, really good friends.

Amen.

foes

i've got this feeling that there're people out there who really hate me to the core. i don't know bout other people, but if i've got people disliking me, i would really appreciate if they let me know. so at least i can change.

yepps.

treadmill

ahh. i want a treadmill in my room. one of those state-of-the-art ones, those that can give you all the readings you can possibly get, like heart beat, blood pressure, breathing rate (yes it's different as heart beat)...and can incline and, decline? (i don't know if that's the right word) and make as little noise as possible.

well anyway. that's so i can get my lazy self to run, instead of always giving excuses to not get out of the house for a jog, like
-it's too cold (in the morning), and adrenaline will actually make you colder, according to the bio textbook.
-i don't like to run after the sun's out, cuz that means there'll be people and that means obstruction.
-it's too sunny (in the afternoon), cuz my mum said, after i returned home that day sunburnt, that i may get skin cancer.
-i don't know what to wear, cuz i've taken to running in shirts without sleeves and i've got only two of those, and i only use one actually.
-i'm simply too lazy to open the door to let myself out.

haha.

UPDATED, 5 minutes later:
i changed my mind. i don't need a really expensive treadmill that provides all the funny readings, just one that can measure distance i've ran, time i've taken, (speed's not important since i can calculate that with the two readings), and can incline and decline, and has minimum noise.

bored.

ahh yes. stephanie is bored. stephanie feels like going to sleep. stephanie has the chicken dance song ringing in her head. stephanie should stop refering to herself as a third person.

bye.

tests

by recommendation of miss andrea sze qi yun, i've done a few tests, from her blog, from other people's blog, or mainly from blogthings.com. just for your reference...

Your Personality Is Like Acid

A bit wacky, you're very difficult to predict.
One moment you're in your little happy universe...
And the next, you're on a bad trip to your own personal hell!

--makes it sound as if i slit my wrist. eek. i react with bases to produce salt and water!

You Are 20% Girly
Um... you're a guy, right? If not, you're the most boyish girl in the world. And for you, that's probably the ultimate compliment.
--oops. maybe. derrek's come out. but that's so sec 2=X

You Are Extremely Thin

Your BMI is 16.8 - a healthy BMI falls between 18.5 and 25

You definitely don't need to lose weight.
In fact, you need to gain some weight to ensure you're healthy.
So go ahead and pig out!

Don't agree? Blame the government standards we based this test on!
--what?!? i definitely don't look like what the pic is okay. other than the very interesting tan line i've got.

You Are 24% Slacker

You have a few slacker tendencies, but overall you tend not to slack.
You know how to relax when the time is right, but you aren't lazy!
--well. okayy.

Your Extroversion Profile:
Activity Level: Very High
Sociability: High
Assertiveness: Medium
Excitement Seeking: Medium
Cheerfulness: Low
Friendliness: Low
--high sociability and low friendliness. how interesting.

You Are Pretty Happy Being Single

You have a full, fun life. And you definitely don't need love to be content.
Of course, being single can get you down a little. Especially when you've been single for a while.
But you know how to be patient and wait for the right person. You're life is too good to settle for anything!
--heh.

Your Vocabulary Score: B

You have a zealous love for the English language, and many find your vocabulary edifying.
Don't fret that you didn't get every word right, your vocabulary can be easily ameliorated!
--thank heavens that the o's isn't all vocab.

post-ndp saturdays

i was at the market with my mum this morning (yes i'm a good girl i know, mdm surin says so XD) and thinking, like you know, random thinking. then i came to this conclusion.

i miss ndp.

i miss all the saturdays spent at the stadiums, national and indoor, eating chicken-less kfc, slacking as tappers while the rest run under the sun, taking loads of photos, talking with evelyn and merrien and the last year sec one tappers (and now zhiyong's in hk), getting jerry to hold my phone and inhaler, crapping with aloysius, drinking loads of milo and activade, listening to the super enthu cheering by everybody before crs, receiving ndp souvenirs on the bus back to school, getting ready at the gate before entrance to the stage then running out to another gate with jerry to make the final entrance on the field, taking the last train home after everything...

argh. the list never ends. additions are still swimming in my head.

ballet using the railings as barres, having makeup put on my cosmoprof people, getting our hair styled on the real day, that lady putting on white eyeshadow on me makeing my eyes look so small i went to rub off and put on blue, those clad in yellow and blue looking at us red and white wearers as if we're kings and queens, the pro tappers, peter gan and ben and emily and william and richard and edric, complaining how the costume doesnt absorb sweat when the truth is we don't really have the chance to sweat since it isnt us on the field and we're always sheltered like royalty, sharing coke and apple slurpee from jerry with the other 21 tappers at the second floor of indoor stadium, piling food into ziang's kfc box, running with aloysius back to eating area to recover my stuff, receiving lollipops as encouragement, going to cr 17 to get and put back flags, wearing the really hurting kings shoes to rjc cuz i had rehearsal later and being in those shoes for like, 12 hours straight, meeting dancers at stadium and the bus uncle opened the door to let me in then take us to indoor stadium from national stadium, walking from the bus drop off point to national stadium with 907++nanhuarians, singing with last year sec one tappers, bringing our hairspray to performance to make sure our hair's in tip top condition before the big thing, cheering for strikeforce and them cheering for us, listening to the music's introduction for our cue to enter while sniggering at how funny richard is, singing the national anthem loud like never before on the field during finale...

that's really alot eh? and i'm not really done. shall leave the rest of the reminiscing to myself.

sad fact of life: people grow old, and yes, die. saw mrs xx today, she was my science teacher from p3 to p5, and i thought she looked the same, until i saw her white hairs. saw major (from primary school too) the other time i was doing flag day, and realised how aged he's become. he used to be like, full of spunk, but he looked really, how to put it. old. just old. then my chinese teacher from p4-6. she wasn't really old, probably 50, got her masters after i grad and died last year. she used to be so lively too, going on holidays and trekking, and she had been teaching for 23 years when i was p6, i remember she told us. and i saw my grand dad's life slowly dwindling, from since he was really stong and looked so big, till on his deathbed when he was really thin and fragile and small. and that expression of pain as he breathed his last. from a man who ran a pig farm, a prawn farm and an orchid farm and the grand dad who gave me a $71 ang pao some years back, to the dead guy bound in white cloth on the cold metal structure in the mortuary.

life's really sad huh. but i believe we can change it ourselves. lead happy lives, make many friends, do lots of nice things...it's all within us. (:

Christianity

yuhui was saying i'm so like a Christian, then jeslyn went,

shi4 ah, ni3 bu4 dong3 meh1?

like, saying i was one and asking if she really didn't know. haha.

i'm not a Christian, people.

and yuhui kept saying my blog looks very Christian-y. well, the designer's a Christian. that explains it yea?

say the world's getting crazier. a relative of my godmum was announced to be brain dead,

because he/she choked on tofu and vege.

and because he/she died (after being brain dead) in an elders' home, the police are investigating on the death, to check if the home tortured (nue4 dai4) him/her.

omg.

aaron's blog:
"keep close to God, just do your best in everything, and He will do the rest[:"

that's like, what mrs tan always says! haha.

i don't know what to blog about, since what i've been doing lately's not worth your precious time reading about. so well. songs.

I am unwritten, can't read my mind, i'm undefined
i'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned

starring at the blank page before you
open up the dirty window
let the sun illuminate the words that you cannot find

reaching for something in the distance
so close you can almost taste it
release your innovations
feel the rain on your skin
no one else can feel it for you
only you can let it in
no one else, no one else
can speak the words on your lips
drench yourself in words unspoken
live your life with arms wide open
today is where your book begins
the rest is still unwritten

oh, yeah, yeah

i break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
within condition, to not make mistakes, but i can't live that way

gawg.

i'm starting to get tired of holidays. so i start sleeping and sleeping, and you know, sometimes you sleep so much you can more tired then you proceed to sleep more and the cycle repeats. damn.

when i'm awake, i'm aimlessly at the comp, so i start clicking on links from my blog since it's my homepage. then i realise i can go to blogs of people like aaron and ruth and amber and rebe and qimin and jojo many many times a day, hoping that there'll be something new for me to read everytime i go on.

steph you're getting lazy.

i read my archives one fine day, and it struck me how i sounded super depressed a few years back. like, emo-slit-wrist depress. funny. then i start recollecting my day from what i have for breakfast as if people are interested in that. well, i don't know, but now, i wouldnt want to go to people's blogs to know that they had milo and bread for breakfast. OH. then i begin ranting on how much i'm out of place in dance, blah blah. funny how the homosapien develops and she starts criticising exco, as seen from recent posts. heh. but i'm officially out of dance since cultural potpourri, 28 may 2007, 10.30pm. i wonder how many times i've repeated that to how many people. sorry. it's kind of exciting.

then again, i think nhds works miracles. i'm not really close with my batch people, as well as seniors. so i mostly hang out with the juniors during practices and stuff. and i told jing er one day, that i'll never be back to visit dance, after i grad. and today i was in school while dance prac was on, the music and everything. then i'd this urge to like, pop by, but i was so tired of hearing them keep pumping the people so i thought i'd forget it. hmm. nhds. once a nan hua dancer, forever a nan hua dancer. i think there's just something that's injected in us throughout our membership, such that you've got a special bond with it even though your time spent there weren't really bombastically spectacular. i was complaining about seniors and all, but i realise i still like all the dances i've taken part in, and all the stupid games we play during camp.

this is getting nowhere. i'm like contradicting myself. so well. i haven't had the feeling of missing dance since maybe, sec 2? shall see if i suffer withdrawal symptoms this holidays. byebye people.

amendments

10.43 pm:
i remembered. i set up the first blog when i was sec one, then deleted it sometime later cuz my mum was against the idea of putting my life on the internet, then set it up again after a few months with the same url. haha.

anyway. i've got running shoes!

saucony grid fusion. i know, liwen will demand the reason why i didn't get new balance or nike plus. i was on a budget of 90 bucks, and the new balance fuse 644 i wanted didn't have my size. and nike plus-es are ex. but this one's not bad too okay. the colour of the real shoe's not like in the pic. it's nicer. and yes, i think the colours are not very me. but it's about the shoe, not so much about the colour yea?(:

post number 209

6.59 pm:
i've been running this blog since i was what, sec one? haha. remembered my first skin being blue and having to do with dance. and it was born in the moelc library, with the help of jolin. lol. the comps at the library then were like, all used for blogging at that time luh, while we were all dodging the watchful eyes of the funnily strict indian auntie. she's not that watchful after all is she? or maybe us third language-ers are really smart. talked to that auntie when i went moelc last wed, and found her pretty nice. haha. maybe being fierce's just part of her job. like b lim. she's really nice when not telling us to tuck in our blouses and shorts and not wear ankle socks and not fold our skirts.

back to the point.

well i just wanted to mean that i'm blogging at a pretty low rate if that's the case, cuz this is just my 209th post in four years. three and a half, if you want exact. and i've been blogging rather much lately.

articulation in english's more appealing now i suppose. resulting in my a1 in english and b4 in chinese, when i used to get As for chinese since like, primary school. dang. apparently chinese lit isn't helping. i'm getting higher marks in that than in the language even. but. imagine blogging in chinese. then i'll take hours to churn out a post, considering my length.

then maybe i wont blog that often or won't blog bout much stuff then you guys will have less to read then you won't frequent my blog then i'll have less hits then i'll have no motivation to keep on blogging then this blog'll be dead like it was when i was sec 2/3.

wow. so let's stick to this, shall we? (:

(i realise this post doesn't make much sense.)
